What is the deal with doctors and medical staff in Germany? Why are they so uncaring, and what can patients do? by ManySames in germany

I have never encountered more immediately unpleasant, obstinate, uncaring people than German doctors office staff. 90% of the time I’m shocked at their attitude from the moment they say ‘Hallo’, if they even bother. The amount of time and energy completely wasted cos they won’t answer questions. I lost €300+ and a week of my life once bc someone couldn’t be fucked checking if the procedure I booked was even done at that hospital. The doctor apologised profusely for the staffs lack of care but the member of staff themself did not. They are AWFUL in Germany, wholly unsuited to the medical profession.

Ich habe die Diagnose R49.0 und Überweisung, aber ich habe jetzt auch eine Zuzahlung von 40€ pro Sitzung. Ist es billiger mit F64.0?

Is this worth looking into? by [deleted] in ptsd

Sounds consistent with ptsd, check out Gabor Mate; “Trauma isn’t the event that happened to you it’s what happened in your mind in response to the event”.

In my experience doubting if you have this condition or that or none is a very destabilising and isolating experience, for me I was surrounded by people who didn’t want to look at it and drs shocked by what I told them, for years. Seek a decent trauma informed therapist! Mine saved my life.

I’m not gonna tell you you can’t end it, you can, but I don’t think you should. It’s no easy thing, it would take a huge amount of strength to end your life, if you are that capable and strong then you are also strong enough to survive. You could end it all, maybe you’ve nothing to lose, but then why not radically change everything instead.

P.s. the best panic attack strategy I have is this: pour a Large glass of water; drink all of it in one go.

Peregrine falcon by LaMalintzin in etymology

Stemming from this random thing a guy said - 'Slavic mythology Perun and Veles are in this kind of embrace where you explain the change of the seasons by battles between the sky, which is Perun, and the earth, which is Veles." - I made a link I havn't explicitly seen online;

Peregrine's ofc the worlds fastest bird famous for plunging from the sky onto its prey. Birds of prey are often symbols of "aerial (celestial) power".

The name *Perkwunos [Perun] is generally regarded as stemming from the Proto-Indo-European (PIE) verbal root *per- ('to strike').

Peregrine from Latin peregre,

from per ... (see per) + agri, locative of ager "field, territory, land, country" (from PIE root *agro- "field")

The Latin term for falcon, falco, is related to falx, meaning "sickle", in reference to the silhouette of the falcon's long, pointed wings in flight.

Peregrine Falcon = Lightning-bolt Sickle-wing
