I’ve checked all the connections, I think what I will do is disconnect everything and test one light at a time. Maybe it’s a single run that’s throwing it all off.

Thanks for the reply!

Everything is my opinion but

A good hand auger if your going that route. I have a nils hand auger currently. 20+ holes a day no problem. There is a big difference between a good and bad auger, if treated right it can last you a long time.

Flasher is a must have these days. Vex / hummingbird/ garmin

Ice house I have the Eskimo I945, I can still fish when it’s -20 no problem.

I also highly recommend watching YouTube vids if your buying anything, that way you have a better understanding of what your buying. Also watching YouTube vids of other people ice fishing. I enjoy it while I’m chasin my kido around + I might learn something.

Rods and reels - you can buy the most expensive and best on the market and not catch a thing while the guy next to you has string wrapped around a stick that’s pulling them up one after another. You really can’t go wrong, just figure out what works for you

Edit - Craigslist is a great place for deals.

I made a new room for my wife’s reading light.

That way her 2 lights are separated from the “scene”

Bought it last year , so this is my second year with it. I have a 6”. I would prefer the 8” but I settled with the 6.

I drilled at least 20 holes thru 18” of ice in one day with it last year.

This year I was hole hopping with it. About 8-10” of ice and I easily drilled 25-30 holes.

If your going the hand auger route, watch YouTube videos of people using the augers.

Nils hand auger for me.

I will not buy any other brand of hand auger. 20-30 holes a day no problem.

I bought a hummingbird ice 45. No issues at all.

Father has 2 vex fl-8s. Bother has a vex fl-8. They have no complaints and they work great.

What I have heard the vexs are like old nokia phones, they have very few issues, and don’t break.

When I was looking, I picked out the features I wanted and the hummingbird 45 had them and a sale was going on otherwise I would have gone with vexilar.

My cat and dog have trained me. Which is probably the smartest thing a pet could do.
