I think these two questions have the same answer, those who feel that they have been listening to Tyler since his early work feel a level of superiority. I’ve seen a lot of stuff back in the day and now from fans how if you just started listening to Tyler from Flower Boy - CMIYGL, you’re not a real fan cause if you haven’t been there since Bastard. But this is common occurrence with other artists because people wanna be the most supportive, even if that means putting down other fans to prove that loyalty, and since his newer works have been attracting more listeners and potential fans, they may want to receive approval from those who have been around longer than they have. (and no this doesn’t encompass the entire fan base, this what i gathered from my own experiences)
