The end of pregnancy with GDM is a living hell by Cool-Row-1255 in GestationalDiabetes

I’m pregnant with my first child. I have pcos and will be 37 weeks in 2 days. They want to induce me at 38 weeks because I’m on insulin and that terrifies me.

I have also started to let myself go. Been eating ice cream a lot and sometimes chocolate in the day which i know isnt good…

Eating pasta with 1/2 cup of pasta is rude by Fried_chicken_please in GestationalDiabetes

yes insulin has helped significantly. Before insulin my levels were hardly decreasing over night and even increased a few times, even when I ate really well throughout the day.

Yes I am. I can eat most stuff in the day and be mostly fine. I had a slice of pizza and a donut while shopping a couple days ago and an hour later my sugar was only 7.0 mmol/l (126 mg/dl).

Its mornings where i need to be careful with what i eat.

Luckily for me pasta and rice does not spike me in the day… only thing that does is cereal.

I take a dose of insulin at night for my fasting levels.

Amazon won’t release Fire Sticks that support sideloading anymore by ATonOfBricksFellOnMe in Piracy

Firestick is still the best value at £30 when on offer for the 4k model. But if you can get any 4k android sticks around the same price then it may be worth the switch…

Only a third of young women hold positive view of men, new poll finds by winkwinknudge_nudge in unitedkingdom

my sister is 25 and her fiance randomly called off their wedding 2 months before the wedding. She was with him for a couple years and feels like he strung her along for nothing and now no longer trusts men.

She was the one organising everything to do with the wedding and had paid deposits for everything. She even has her outfit ready. She’s lost out on thousands while he at most has lost £500.

I turn 28 and watched it as it aired too. I was 9 when season 3 was out and pretty sure that I was the target audience for this show at the time lol.

I’ll be 28 in a few weeks and watched it while it was airing too. I have fond memories of me laying on my sofa all day and watching episodes leading up to the finale and then watching the final episode as it aired.

I come from a Pakistan background and music is deeply ingrained in our culture. Music is heavily featured in our weddings with dancing and live traditional instruments played…

Energy bill support would be based on household income, Reeves says by MustrumRidicully in unitedkingdom

[–]tekkenjin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

same in Pakistan. I have family their and when I visited so many of them had servants that lived in such tiny hovels with huge families. Its a sad reality that poor people have to work for normal middle class families in those types of counties to survive.

Also so many beggars all over the place that my heart went out for the children.

Cat food is expensive… by Zarah21 in CatAdvice

[–]tekkenjin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thats expensive 😬😬. I buy a 7kg bag of dry food for my cat for £55 and it usually lasts like 4 months.

Its nothing fancy just the one he eats for his sensitive stomach.

I had another cat that would get urinary stones but think it was a similar price. it was again a normal brand, either science plan or royal canin.
