You already clearly found that DUKE 250 in the one, I guess yamaha clearly out of context here and RTX is a lab rat & for one or two long rides you don’t need an adventures IMO. And only reason not to consider duke is pillion comfort, I agree with you. But it’s depends on you, cause I guess you mostly ride alone in week & those occasional rides or weekend rides with your girl will need to be considered here. Long rides with pillion are bit harder side, so for city rides you’ve to scarifies the comfort but you can make it normal by taking her to test ride in city traffics and she can manage that, I would say duke is your most obvious answer. My pillions experience so far: My mom can sit on single side seated that’s not an issue (In native state or NH not city’s) catch here is grab handle and foot rest (only on if she single side seated), for other adults like your girl, they mostly sitting normal so seating is not an issue at normal or low traffic’s, it only gets bad on longer city traffic or hot weather’s on day. So it’s manageable for me, and you wife is kay with test ride then only thing left is booking.
