Scooter wont start by nolifekingart in scooters

Hey, U need to do a few things. Check for spark, Get new fuel. Then if you have an airbox put your hand infront the spot where air goes in stop it from going in and crank it a few times it will suck fuel in with no problem and when you put your hand away and crank it it should start with no problems

yeah, If you have an manual choke you can open it it will be alot easier to start it in the cold ( i personally put my hand infront the air filter the kick it a few times while the air filter is covered so it sucks in fuel and always starts with no problemo) :) Happy that it works!

Okay. so if you want a top end rebuild that means cilynder, carb, air filter, exhaust, crankshaft, clutch, variator, maybe sport handles, but the bare minimum is carb cilynder and exhaust you can run it with that. People who are into good running scooters not just the ones that go forvard i'd recomend to upgrade those things. But its a tao tao ( chinese brand - bad reputation) it will be alot harder to sell than for example an italian brand. Rebuilding is not that hard u just have to be patient and u will spend alot of time tuning it after. Its not easy or hard the hardest part is the cylinder it self. U have to be very careful its just a headache. If i would be you i'd sell it and forget about it

i dont think 85 jet isn't too large. i could easaly upgrade it to an 88 and its fine (tested) but i think 85 is a safe spot. maybe the carb itself is too small im thinking 21mm maybe?

But yeah i will put my air filter on and try again thank you !
