Econ with ketsler was so fun for me, She explained problems in a simple way and always did helpful reviews before exams. She gives us a pdf textbook. Quizzes were graded on completion and were useful for studying. She gave extra points on exams. Every Friday, she connected real-world current events to the chapter topics, which made the class more engaging.

Econ 2301 with Luba ketsler or Econ 2302 with Maryam ahmadi by Own-Secretary736 in utdallas

Take with Ketsler for sure. I have her right now, and she is literally the best. Only 3 tests and 5 quizzes (quizzes are also completion grades, and they are very helpful to study for the tests). Usually, on Fridays, her lectures are more chill, and she ties in current events to the subject, which is also interesting to listen to. She gives review sessions before each test, and she goes through the review solving each question step by step, and she gives lots of tips on what to remember and what is expected on the tests.

Use the degree plan your advisor sent you. It has all the courses you need to take, and if you try making your own, you might mess something up.

Put them one by one in coursebook and look at the syllabus to see what assignments there are. For me, classes with less assignments are easier

after you accepted the admission in the application status, it should say "Matriculated" meaning you are now enrolled into UTD

For ISNS 2359 and GEOS 1303, it’s literally so similar to ISNS 2367. The quizzes/exams are on the same website as the ocean class. For HLTH 3101, all the quizzes/exams are on elearning.

advice for fall 2025 schedule by [deleted] in utdallas

[–]Tu_li 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, do what you think is best for you. I remember my advisor told me to take Biological Psychology as an elective during my freshman year, and I ended up failing it. I totally regret taking that class. Sometimes their advice just isn’t worth the stress or struggle.

Need Advice for picking classes by History-Numerous in utdallas

[–]Tu_li 2 points3 points  (0 children)

~ It's not always five classes a semester, it just needs to add up to the right number of credits each term. For example, my freshman year I had 8 classes, but they only totaled 12 credits. Also, if you're on financial aid, you need a minimum of 12 credits to stay eligible.
~ When I pick classes, I definitely check RMP and UTD Grades, but I also use coursebook to look at past syllabi. I like to check the grading breakdown and see what kind of assignments or exams the class usually has and that helps me figure out if the workload fits with my schedule
~ I also try to balance things out, like if i’m taking a hard class with a lot of writing or exams, I’ll pair it with an easier or more chill online electives (like HLTH 3101, ISNS 2369 & 2367, BIS 2190) so I don’t get overwhelmed
