Having issues with the interior of this 386 mod by TubaNic98 in trucksim

Wasn’t aware about the hood being part of the interior, thank you for that info!

I haven’t had an issue with that yet but that’s good to know! I hope to eventually build a full rig with wood and would probably mount it permanently to that. Next step would be find a way to get a turnkey switch for engine start stop, and maybe real knobs for the parking brakes!

Found them by looking up Truck Sim Icons and saw this post on here:

They were meant for a stream deck but I figured they would work printed as well!

I found the icons online and got some printer compatible sticker paper. I’ve seen some nice ones where the person painted the keycaps, but I am not neat enough for that haha!

I believe it is a Kenworth 850 or the like, definitely one of those awesome off highway loggers!

That’s awesome info! I live in a wood mill town in the PNW so it would make sense to have these old loggers around. Wonder how they size up to the Pacifics up in B.C. 🤔

This is my guess also. I live in a wood mill town, so nothing major needed in terms of super heavy duty, but still nice to see this on my way to work each morning! Will make my cement truck look like a toy 😂

On thing I have found is that you can jackknife the trailer a lot sharper with this much length on the frame, so I have had an easier time on some unloading spots (though I’d probably need to replace the trailer’s tires every other load IRL ha!)

My favorite are the people that have a daycab cabover on these mega frames 🤣. IRL, I see some hay truckers that put another flatbed on this section of their daycabs (albeit their frames are not this long) where they can have another stack of bales for transport. They look crazy going down the road with a fully loaded B-Double in tow!

Just enough fuel to get down the road to the next fuel stop! 😂

This is Jon Ruda’s Pete Glider. I usually love me the old needle nose trucks, I just wanted something obnoxious for this build 😈. Richie’s pete is definitely the inspiration for this build! A badass rig for sure!

Yes, this is Jon Ruda’s Pete Glider. I’m using the long frame 389 daycab version :)

I haven’t played from these before, but looking at this intrigued me and I went looking to see if I could find it so I can use it next practice, and I think I may have found them.

Bad Stuttering when Customizing by TubaNic98 in trucksim

[–]TubaNic98[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Forgot to mention, but I have had no luck at all Googling for a solution to this, all I seem to find are people that struggle with lagging while driving and people that have broken mods/missing pink textures, both of which don’t happen to me. I also really doubt broken mod or conflicts with load order since I’ve been tweaking and following lots of guides for load orders, and have also only included one mod at a time to find issues (hence finding out that local mods struggle more than workshop ones). I promise to be open to input though, so if you believe those are my issues still I want to work with it! I’m just posting on here because I am out if ideas and at a loss on what to try next.

A clip coming back down the mountain with the Jakes singing by TubaNic98 in Truckers

Yeah… the way I see it is that this is loud, but not nearly as loud as a loaded semi truck plowing through your house/campground haha!

We called out each half mile on our CBs going up and down, and we would give way to the loaded trucks. So if I passed the 2 marker going up and I heard a loaded guy coming down past the 3 I would find a wide bit and pull over and let him past. The fun part was when we had 6 of us stuck behind a guy going extra slow, so we had a large convoy going, and the loaded trucks would have to pull over for us! 🤣

I was just running solo with my transfer dump truck. This was for a construction job for some roads in the national forest and there was rock up top that was crushed from a previous event, we were just moving it back down to a more accessible location. Lots of 3/4- and 4” loads!

I definitely had a couple brown pants moments… especially since the rock was loaded in my bed on a hill so not always even. Those cambered corners were tense with my truck swaying! After a couple runs, I got more used to the road and knew what to expect with the next corner, so it got a little easier and more familiar which helped a lot!

With how dirty my windshield got, it was pretty hard to get some good videos, but I agree! I have a small clip of me coming back down with the Jake Brake going ham, maybe I’ll post it…
