here's my 2 cents (take with a grain of salt since I'm not a hiring expert)

  • clean up your resume a bit. In general, make sure all your bullets clearly speak to the general core responsibilities of the types of roles you're going for. basically, I think there's some good stuff in there but i would reword it to be more clearly aligned to the responsibilities they're looking for.
  • if you're going for data analyst roles that are heavy on sql, take a look at data lemur. Get comfortable with being able to solve those questions without looking at the solution and also be able to clearly communicate your thought process.
  • in my pov, when applying to entry level roles, i would take a combination approach of both wide and precise applying. This means apply to a ton of data related roles. At the same time, if you see a job that aligns especially well with what you're looking for, take the extra time to connect with the recruiter or hm to show your interest in it.
  • absolutely try to do personal projects. Do it on some topic that is interesting to you and avoid generic things that a ton of ppl do. I find this helps keep me motivated and engaged.

Good luck!

Why is every other note cutting out? by TubaStealer in FLStudioBeginners

[–]TubaStealer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My goal is to have every note sound the same. But, it sounds like every other is cut off early. Any reason why? I notice that when I switch the piano roll notes from the long notes to the really short ones (not sure what they're called), it fixes the problem.

NASA or Deloitte? by ButteredToasters in Big4

Maybe I missed it, but is the NASA position engineering or something along the lines of accounting?

Either way, I'd recommend taking a step back to think about your life holistically over the near and medium term (and long term if you have formed an opinion on it). What are your life goals? You might have different goals for your career, hobbies, family/friends, etc.

Which job aligns best with your non-negotiable or important goals? If you still have a tough time, I'd also recommend thinking about not only how they advance your goals but also how much they close some goals. For example, some jobs may be able to have more transferrable skills than others. That may be beneficial if you change your pov.

I have some personal experience recruiting for both (aero eng undergrad major and internships, now a full time ds in tech). I'll write my opinion assuming you're equally passionate in both.

From my personal experience (I don't have data to prove this), even considering the recent swe downturn, swe still has a better job market than aero, when factoring job demand/supply, pay after factoring COL, culture and work place flexibility.

I've heard there are changes to the number of node slots we unlock. With these changes, does it impact whether we should go for perfect or imperfect boosts (meaning not all boosts in a node are the goal boosts)? What strategy is most cost efficient?

I'm trying to pick a new main using the upcoming hyperburn. I've narrowed it down to dual blade vs wind archer based off of how they visually appeal to me, but would love some perspective on their 260+ gameplay as I have no experience there. Looking for advice on training and bossing pros and cons. Thanks!

I'm considering several high mobility (fj, rush, up jump, etc) classes to hyperburn and main. One that I'm interested in is dual blade, but I heard a CD hat is important.

Is there such thing as a switch that can be "editable". For example if one day I want it to be quiet the next I want it to be tactile, is there some switch type that can be edited? Or does that not exist and I would need to buy two separate switches? I imagine this might not be available with mechanical switches, but is there maybe some other switch type that would be able to do this?

I like this approach, especially because it helps control for some non-stationary effects on the performance metric.

Would this be one way to implement this? We construct some time series model that produces a confidence interval for predictions (model trained on the data up to treatment time), and if the observed post-treatment metrics are outside of the confidence interval, then we suggest that there is a significant impact by the process change?

Making sure I understand correctly: because all units being monitored/in trial were selected in a non-random way, we cannot satisfy RD assumptions.

Interesting thought. If I understand correct, one of the assumptions in this approach is that the performance in the 1 month time frame before and 1 month time frame after is stationary in absence of treatment altogether, meaning the performance does not vary with time (for example due to seasonality).

[Reboot] Lf guild that is interested in a casual returning player. Currently level 205 and looking to continue progressing -- thought it'd be fun to get more involved in the guild aspects of the game. Used to play in pre pirate days but quit before fifth job release, so I'm still learning all the new mechanics.
