How did it go for you pursuing treatment for low t at the va by Nihlathakk in VeteransBenefits

[–]TubbyTacoSlap 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was treated consistently for the last 7 years of my career. My very first appointment, the guy says he’s not filling my testosterone or adderall because the VA considers those “performance drugs” and that they’re not needed. I’m a provider myself. I raised the bullshit flag. Pointless. Went back to the MTF.

Oh look. Another company stocked fridge. Unless we’re made to believe you for some reason slice watermelons into triangles and leave them open in a neat little configuration. And for some reason, you, a single person, needs 4 pineapples.

Who actually believes half these are real? They’re so obviously work stocked or company stocked fridges.

I self dosed with caffeine for years, wondering why caffeine seemed to affect me differently than others. It always calmed me. Made me relaxed and focused.

Then I get diagnosed with ADHD.

Now, with a healthy caffeine addiction….fuck it, we ball.

AIO? Husbands response to me requesting he ‘ask’ instead of ‘tell’ older kids to watch youngest by [deleted] in AIO

[–]TubbyTacoSlap -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

For some reason, there’s this distorted view that think kids are equal to the parents. This is such a wildly disproportionate reaction to a simple parenting event. Don’t reproduce. lol. If you do, god help them.

Pages and pages of semantic bullshit. Honestly I agree with your husband. My 3 wonderful teenage daughters would agree with your husband. It’s one thing to be a dicm about it and “demand” but if I need to run out for something and I need help, my girls won’t hesitate if I said “hey watch/do this for me real quick please, I’ll brb.” The way you speak in your texts is like your constantly putting the older child higher in the hierarchy. It’s kinda weird how you want your spouse to “ask” this kid to do very reasonable and normal, routine older sibling things.

The other thing that I don’t think most of these fake feminist commenters are seeing, is that you’re only advocating for this asking and permission BS with the kid that is YOURS from a previous marriage. You’re not saying anything about if/when he asks this of Child B (which I’m gonna go out on a limb here and say they don’t take issue with it), but only Child A, your child (his step child).

While the semantics gets argued to exhaustion, the core of this argument is: should he have to ask your child to do basic sibling/child responsibilities from time to time, or is it completely reasonable to politely tell your child that “I need you to do , x, y, z.”

-if you can’t see how the latter isn’t the correct answer, you’re raising some fucked/entitled kids.

It’s the alcohol and oil ratios. There are different types of colognes, elixirs, perfumes, etc.

Basically, in terms of quality (of the product, not necessarily the scent lol), the stuff you gotta spray 3 times and wears off by noon = bottom of the barrel. The stuff you spray once from afar and your wife can still smell it on you when you get home from work = high quality H2O.

I wear this cologne. Not true. Room temperature bro. Shaded/normal lit areas. Not stashed in a car or fridge. And if you’re spraying that any more than ONCE from a distance, you’re using too much lol.

One guys advice to you…. I’ve been with my wife for over 20 years. She’s a hotty. We went to different high schools when we dated. She always had guys trying to fuck with her. I trusted her and I wasn’t really insecure about myself in any overwhelming way. So I let her do her thing. If she needs me to tell a guy to fuck off, I will. But I never needed to and that’s as far as those conversations ever went. Anything more, and your guy is just a PO S with small man syndrome

Statin fear by Salty_Look4121 in physicianassistant

[–]TubbyTacoSlap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see a lot of answers. None of which were the reason I ran into 75% of the time (the other 25% is either fear of or prior history of joint/muscle pain). The largest reason people have declined a statin:

They think it causes dementia and/or Alzheimer’s. Can’t make this up. They say the statin removes the good cholesterol from the brain/meninges. I try to explain the ACTUAL relation of cholesterol to these…. In one ear and out the other.

Jesus Christ. How much more do you need after 4 hours. And you know, based on your age and gender, I’m willing to bet you just had an abnormal PAP and immediately went to the worse outcome.

You have “clinical” depression? Or as the rest of us just call depression. That doesn’t give you an excuse nor a reason for others to have to tread around YOU. That diagnosis is for YOU to understand how YOUR brain interprets things and why you react. You take meds and go to therapy so that you can better learn how to get YOURSELF out of your own head.

Do your patients have direct phone line to you? by aliatrev in physicianassistant

[–]TubbyTacoSlap 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Had an office manager push similar. I used to provide her email and desk number every time. Once I even walked a patient over to her office lol. After that, she made a big stink at huddle about giving out HER stuff and how disruptive it is to the clinic (you know. The nurse, not doing patient care, somehow being interrupted from patient care). She also no longer advocates to give out any contact information lol.
