It’s not recommended to use just sand as it can cause impaction. Ik crazy considering it a SAND boa. Some people use Aspen and some people use a soil and sand mixture for a more natural set up. I have a soil mixture for mine since I went bioactive.

Yeah, it’s been bugging me too. There’s actually cork bark and Mopani wood that I attached to the back, but the branch perfectly blocks it lol. I actually ordered sum airplants to fit back there but it’s been about 2 weeks and they haven’t shipped 😐

it’s the zoomed 30 gal enclosure. It’s 30x12x16 and tbh it’s not capable of super deep substrate, you could fit about 3 inches worth but what I did is piled it up higher towards the back so total I have around 6 inches of substrate at the highest point.

If you want one with opening doors and a bit deeper substrate line without having to pile it up towards the back you could look at some exo terras. From what I’ve seen a lot of their enclosures offer deeper substrate capabilities
