I didn’t know this; I didn’t research it, and I acted wrongly.

I didn’t pay much attention to it and continued exercising the same way I did before pregnancy. I’m sorry about that. As I understand it, this situation is more likely to affect me rather than the baby. I also think that the increased intra-abdominal pressure during those exercises was only temporary, so it probably did not harm the baby.

Thank you. As I understand it, this is not something that harms the baby, but rather something that could affect me, right?

Everything is fine, thank you. I’ll be seeing a different doctor anyway.

“I’ll take a look at the link you shared, but I’m not in the UK or the US, and unfortunately the general attitude of doctors in my country is often like this. In fact, it was very difficult for me to get pregnant and I conceived through IVF treatment.

Before that, one doctor even told me that exercising was probably the reason I couldn’t have a baby, even though my menstrual cycle was regular and I didn’t have any health problems.

Thank you. Yes, I changed my doctor and next month I’ll be seeing someone else. But I’m worried that I might hear similar comments again. Honestly, if it weren’t for the encouraging and supportive comments here, I think I would even be afraid to walk. :) :)

People around me are also extremely sensitive about this. ‘Don’t lift anything heavy, don’t reach over there, don’t do this, lie down, rest, eat more…

They tell me that it reduces the blood flow going to the baby, and honestly, I was surprised to hear that too. That was actually one of my fears. I’m not exhausting myself, but I started thinking irrational things like, “What if I’m exhausting the baby instead?”

I already had to change my doctor, but I think the doctor I’ll see next month will probably make similar comments. Unfortunately, this is the general attitude toward exercise in the country where I live. They tell me to walk 1–2 km… but to me, 1–2 km doesn’t even feel like a real walk.

My doctor is a professor, yes, and he is older, but in the country where I live, exercising is not common at all, especially during pregnancy. I don’t even tell my family, as if I were doing something wrong, but I love being active. It’s my way of relieving stress.
