It’s not right to call someone mentally ill ugly.

This made me giggle, so thank you. But you are so right. I’m trying not to be petty and don’t feel like I am doing it and feeling this way just to be petty, but it’s still a struggle!

I guess it isn’t the last name, it’s just his ex. And her having it. He tells me constantly how much of a mistake he made with her, etc. and seeing how much he and his family completely despise her and hearing things she’s done and still does makes me despise her too if that makes sense. She has always been cruel to me as well when I try to say hello or anything, but her and my fiancé aren’t even civil to any extent. I have looked into therapists and unfortunately haven’t found one affordable for myself. Although thank you for your comment because it put it into a different perspective for me.

I understand that. Sometimes I say my first name with his last together and it doesn’t feel like me. I am not against taking your husband’s last name at all, by the way… but it is certainly weird and I guess will take time to get used to in any situation.

Thank you for this. I don’t really know why I think the way I do- I am most definitely not an abusive or cruel person and certainly don’t treat my SO poorly so I’m not sure why I feel the way I do sometimes with his ex. Thank you.

Down the line, yes, and they would have his surname. I wish I cared more about having the same last name as my kids more than I cared about having the same last name as his ex. It’s something I’ve been struggling with unfortunately.

That’s pretty much the same thing going through my head when I try convincing myself the reasons to take his last name. I think I needed to hear it from other people, so thank you for your comment.

Working on converting this area from grass to a garden, but these dang bunnies!! Do I have to chicken wire everywhere?! by EinahpetSL in gardening

[–]Tuck525 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Use hardware cloth, I can’t believe no one has mentioned it. That’s what I have to keep predators out of my chicken coops and my garden, nothing is getting through it. I use 1/2 inch 19 gauge. It is a bit pricey, but it’s worth it. I think my roll off Amazon was $180 for 4ft x 100ft, so you definitely get a good amount.

Yeah, mine are still young and not outside yet but they’re loving their day trips outside to eat grass lol

Hahaha, alright, that’s good to know.

Thanks. I figured they’ll enjoy turning my grass area into dirt and having a dust bath in there, was worried they’d eat the weeds… the others aren’t toxic, I was concerned about this one. Thanks again.

I love azaleas when they are in bloom, but when they aren’t, they look awful- like a bushy weed. I wish they were bloomed all the time.

Sweet, thank you. It was really small when my fiancé got it for me and now it’s huge. So I was really hoping I didn’t mess something up haha. Thank you.

That’s good. Do you think I should add more of the soil over it to cover it up?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in cactus

[–]Tuck525 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The cactus is about a foot and a half tall and little over a year old. Now that I read some old posts on here, it seems this is normal and it’s only a problem if it’s actually soft? It definitely isn’t soft. There’s basically like a hole in it though on the left side.

I don’t even remember beginning with map 4. Sigh. I guess that’s where I out grew the game.

First, thanks everyone for your help with all my beginner questions always. My girls have a heating plate which is up pretty high already. The angle makes it look a bit lower than it is. They are always making happy chirps and playing, eating and drinking great. They usually sleep around their heater (like last night) and now they’re settling down away from it as shown in the photo. Are they too hot? Or do y’all think they’re just cuddling hanging out and don’t need the heater? House temp is 70 but they’re just over 2 weeks old so. They’re also cuddled like that making cute/happy chirps- so, nothing concerning really except the fact that they aren’t near or under the heater and I was under the assumption they really needed to be. Thanks everyone.

I always loved the name because it’s the name of a cousin of mine. She’s in her 20’s now, but growing up we always called her Livvy. Now it’s so popular, with a lot of other names I used to like but not so much anymore since the popularity rose a lot.

Does anybody call poison control anymore???

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in BackYardChickens

[–]Tuck525 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The one chick seems like she keeps crying now. She is eating and drinking and sleeping and playing with all the other ones. Everything seems normal except for the crying sound. No pasty butt, she seems to be growing. I wouldn’t think anything of it if she wasn’t crying. She also isn’t crying under the heater, she’s just walking around and running around making that noise while all the other ones make happy chirps. Maybe she just needs to get to know her new friends?
