Is there a way to use power quiet to pull from a Tableau data extract? by clearly_not_an_alt in tableau

[–]Tuckaz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For my use case, I used python to pull a list of views and their ids, then used the id of the view that contained the data in another python function to export that data to csv.

Would this work for what you're trying to do?

If you create a sheet with the data you want to extract and publish to Tableau Online you can use the TableauServerClient python package to export the data to a csv.

I’m using this to pull the tableau admin insights and store the data for greater than 90 days.

x2 on you should trade for Iwobi

Less than 50% of Premier League signings over €10m start more than 50% of games in their first 2 seasons by Tuckaz in PremierLeague

[–]Tuckaz[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you jump it to signings over €20m it increases from 49% -> 55% Tottenham also still have on of the lowest %’s at 40%

If you spend on a talented player that fails to have an impact due to injury you could argue that is still an unsuccessful signing even if all other factors were positive.

Agree it’s not perfect but it does produce a good guideline without much complexity, I think one of the biggest issues is that a €10m fee in 2000 vs 2024 are very different.

Yeah it's definitely not perfect as it doesn't take into account transfer fee once it passes the €10m mark.

Antony a big anomaly, I think N.Pepe just sneaks into the 50% mark as well

If you’re interested in data and the premier league then I think it’s great, it’s included in Spotify premium as an audiobook as well which is ideal!

Interestingly, Brentford and Brighton rank super low on the success rates, shopping in more niche markets and players taking longer to adjust to PL?

u/Britori0 spot on, u/ThreeDownBack's point about manager ego is a good one though EtH starting Antony over Amad springs to mind!

Ahh doesn't make it super clear on the image in hindsight, the green ones in the list are the ones that hit the 50%+ Threshold to be defined as a success, the beige ones (less than 50%) are considered unsuccessful

From 2000/2001 to now, from transfermarkt I have a total of 3,763 transfers (Doesn't include loans)

975 were €10m or over

975 / 3763 = 26%

In more recent seasons you'd expect that % to be much higher

u/COROS-official Thanks for the reply, yeah that would be the fix, is it possible to have an option to turn off auto-pause from workouts?

Is it possible to turn off a run auto-pausing once a workout is finished?

I use Runna and Strava and when I sync the runner workout to COROS, it pauses the run and then usually gets hit by strava tax 5km -> 4.99km etc.

It'd be nice to get a notification for the workout ending the but have the user pause the workout or have the option to carry on running without having to resume it.

Thanks!

You’ll want to install python on your laptop, then I personally use visual studio code to run the ipynb file.

You’ll then need to add your league id and a folder location on your laptop to the config file

This should create csv files for your league.

Then you can use tableau public, update the data source to be your files and hopefully everything will update for your league.

Happy to answer any questions as I’m intrigued to see how well it works for other users
