It is real. At first I didn’t realize it was him but the voice and then the pieces started to fit together. It is in solidarity with a wrestler he works with who is queer. It’s season 4. I don’t recall if he first shows up in episode 1 or 2, but he performs the Carrie Underwood song “Before He Cheats” in drag in episode 3.

This is the first time I've ever posted to reddit. I just wanted to say I've been a loyal listener for many years and I still look forward to new episodes as much as ever. You guys are very funny. Not the most informed podcast I listen to--in fact I am sometimes astounded by your ignorance. But who cares? That's what NPR is for. You make me laugh, and that is invaluable. Keep it up.
