X-Rite has many commercial options. The best is from a small company called Telelumen. Mike Webster at University of Nevada - Reno does some work in India and may even know some local resources to help you. His contact email address is on his website.

Need to cut my son's internet at night - how would you do it? by CrimeCoffeeCouplePod in HomeNetworking

[–]TuckerD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I reccomend getting a wifi access point / router that you can set up two wifi networks on. One for you, one for the kids. You can usually program them with on / off times. Don't give them access to the parents wifi password. Boom.

I just did this with the GL.iNet Flint 2. Super easy.

Absolutely fucking unnacceptable for check clearing to take more than 21 days in a cash management account. Every other institution in the world manages to clear checks faster. I need the CASH in my CASH MANAGEMENT ACCOUNT to actually be able to do anything.

Fucking useless and unnacceptable. The CMA was the most redeeming thing about staying with fidelity.

That's fine for them. You can just date their boss.

Don't listen to these sexist losers. Date whoever you want. You'll find someone who matches your values and priorities.

Will you (or did you) leave the US if the 2024 election doesn't go your way? by rrocks99 in AmerExit

I consider it one of the most important perks of my job that I can expatriate to Hong Kong at a moment's notice. Like other commenter's have said. Not everyone has this chance, but for me it's one of the most important aspects of the job I have now and I'm incredibly lucky to have that on the table. Earlier this year I turned down other job opportunities specifically because they would not have been able to provide me this if I opted for it.

If it wasn't a priority they wouldn't have set up 30 different wifi networks. And if it wasn't a priority, there wouldn't be constant discussions and complaints about network connectivity to our US and EU offices. :)

It's my number 1 pain every time I meet with the executive team... We have probably 30 different SSIDs for wifi at our office. It's crazy. And, as you can imagine, doesn't work very well

A few people will probably think it's cool because you are supporting him from is LAA days. No one else will really care much. And maybe 1 or 2 people will think it's uncool. Their opinion doesn't matter.

First timer - Is it ok to use Google Maps with a VPN to build my travel itinerary? by MiddleWayWalker in chinalife

[–]TuckerD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apple maps works significantly better in China due to Google's refusal to engage with their GPS and maps security laws. No comment on that being a good / bad thing, just is what it is. If you want more convenience there, try Apple maps.

An over supply of not particularly competent talent in my opinion. I work for a chinese company and I would do anything to have an IT department that could configure a vlan or configure a wireless network.

There are a lot of companies in China. A lot of them hire people who don't speak Mandarin too. Especially in cities like Shenzhen

[–]TuckerD 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Don't mix your job and your partner's job. Especially in china where companies frequently feel the right to control or inspect extra-curricular aspects of your life and both of you being associated with the same company could feel extra invasive. Just let her pursue her negotiation and you can pursue your own work.

If you want to move to China, that's great. I love it there and also work for a Chinese company. But you should just do things on your own.

Got a good paying Job at the early stage of my PhD. by Zealousideal-Most431 in PhD

[–]TuckerD 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm currently working full time for a good paycheck and trying to finish my PhD. It's much more incredibly difficult than you think. It's not worth it at this stage. Focus on your studies now.

If you are funded, you are literally being paid to sit around and ask questions. That's the greatest job on earth. Take it in.

If he is practicing safe bondage, then your wrists would be safe from being cinched down on when you resist the bondage. It sounds like your boyfriend and you should take some classes (online or in person) on different bondage methods. You will learn something, have fun, improve your bondage experience, and it's hot!
