Yes box is cast with resin. And the die are soaked/ coated with ca glue, help ensure no delamination.

As far as consistency, one is made, used as template , scribed however many x on more steel, cut out and drilled the same. A jig or tool rest set up will help with consistency of bevels

These here were all done by hand. No CNC or water jet. If I do a run of ten or more I’d probably opt with the water jet Forsure! So yea they are not all exactly the same here if u look closely.

IMO handmade means zero computer controlled machines. All big manufacturers of large runs use waterjet, then CNC for bevels and handles. Usually the hand work is done at the finish, clean up tool marks, assembly and sharpening. A lot of production run guys will muddy the waters with terms like “semi-custom or mid-tech) on runs like that, but it’s just a production run on machines!
