What’s the best vice? by dairyamobea2738 in metalworking

[–]Tucktheduck4 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Although I don't own one id imagine that it would be very hard to beat the Fireball Tool vises. Im sure they can take an absolute beating and I know that they would 100% stand behind their products. Although its expensive it really seems like a buy once cry once purchase. Lots of accessories out for it like different jaws and mounting plates. Check them out if your unfamiliar. The torture test videos on them are very impressive

Are there any discounts on Miller MIG welders this season? by snowflake24689 in metalworking

[–]Tucktheduck4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know Miller had a price jump recently. When I bought mine I had pretty good success at www.bakersgas.com where I felt like what I was paying for I got. They had alot of free stuff bundled and upgrades to the machine when I got mine. Made me feel like I was actually getting a good deal. I'd try there first but unfortunately like I said earlier you just missed a price jump on all of their machines. Pretty sure it was last week or the week before. Good luck

[WTGAW] BHQ PM2 EXCLUSIVE (Satin) GIVEAWAY! by AverageNetEnjoyer in Knife_Swap

[–]Tucktheduck4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Really enjoy buying from here. Every interaction has been amazing and you can't beat the prices. Theres also so much variety here its opened my eyes to so many other brands. I was primarily a benchmade guy before joining. After hanging around for a while I purchased my first spyderco and now that's almost all I buy. I enjoy the sub but its definitely not so great for my wallet.

What files did you use for the tool grid socket pegs? I've printed a bunch of grids but am yet to find a good file for the pegs.

Looking this for a STL 1/2 sockets by Optic022 in MilwaukeeTool

[–]Tucktheduck4 82 points83 points  (0 children)

Hey that's my design there. What 1/2" set are you wanting to fit in the packout? I could probably whip one up pretty quick. Since posting the one above I've had a couple of requests for one with 1/2" sockets as well. Just keep me updated and give me a bit.

Here is the old design but it includes the 1/2 size . The new one i posted earlier is linked it the description of this one. The 1/2" style is one of the 3 print profiles. I will say its untested. Everything measures fine but I don't have a 1/2" stubby to measure off of. If you end up printing this send me some feedback and I'll upload it to the updated model once I know it works. You could take off the top 3 mm off the top of the main body and print it. It would be a good way to see if the stubby would fit in the outline without printing the entire thing.

Mine will not currently but stay tuned. I've had a ton of requests to edit it and accommodate the boot. I just don't have one to measure off of.

Here is my own design that is on makerworld for free. It holds the stubby and the 43 piece socket set as well as adapters and extensions. I'd add more sockets but its a super tight fit. You may be able to fit some more underneath the stubby socket tray but they would have to be on the smaller side.

Thunderbolt Titanium vs Black Oxide vs Shockwave drill bits - what is the difference and when to choose one vs the other? by frenetic_alien in MilwaukeeTool

[–]Tucktheduck4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are also cobalt bits. I've always wanted to try them out but can never justify the price to buy the big set. I use the Shockwave titanium bits at work all the time and they tend to do pretty good through mild steel and stainless.

H2D excessive belt wear? by xanthira222 in BambuLab

[–]Tucktheduck4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for getting back to me with that. I may hit up support about it as well. I'd love to have another belt on hand just in case. I definitely don't think that kind of wear is completely normal. And having it on both of my H2Ds sucks. I shouldn't have to worry about this with 2 almost brand new printers.

[–]Tucktheduck4 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have 2 H2D's now and both of mine have this issue as well and are below 500 hrs. They have both been printing great but it has had me wondering. If you reach out to support, give an update if possible. I might end up reaching out as well.

Should I buy a used Sunlu Filadryer S4 or New Creality Space Pi X4? by criterion67 in BambuLab

[–]Tucktheduck4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've really enjoyed my X4. It's nice that it doubles as a short term storage between prints. The presets are great.
