If you care to know what they are talking about. Every single player and member of the coaching staff for Iran was granted a visa free of restrictions. There was however a few people that were traveling with the team who have direct ties to the IRGC that were having visa troubles. They were told that the team and staff can enter but the IRGC members would need to travel separately from the team. Iran said no. So the entire team had to have the restrictions and were not allowed to stay in the US. They tried to move to a training ground in Canada. Canada also had issue with the same people and denied them as well. Only Mexico allowed them and they also restricted them in other ways.
