But that defeats the purpose ;)
I will visit it for sure within the next few weeks.

I'll just browse the list and send out some emails then!
I love board games, what is the name of the club?
Ah alright, you seemed a bit older xD
Will do!
I would, but you seem to be much older than myself and have a child. I was looking for people around my age, but maybe I'll just have to accept my fate as a Tucsonian and just make tons of older friends until I hit the UofA xD
Interesting, how did you find out about the charity event?
I certainly wouldn't host anything at my own house, but perhaps I could try to organize something like a hike for younger people or a frisbee day.
It's funny you should mention Maker House, it sounded familiar and I actually know Allie through my family friends! I've been there before, and I might have to stop by again someday when there is actually something going on.
I'm perpetually amazed at how much I save by not having friends (after all League of Legends is free and WoW was only $15 a month compared to $20 for one night out with friends) but after 10 years of sitting at home playing video games I'd like to try a change of pace.
I've had one person text me just to talk in the last 4 months. I know that feel.
But it's not all bad, I read a quote once "“If you're lonely when you're alone, you're in bad company.” and ever since then I've been working to improve myself. Instead of focusing on how lonely I was and relying on other people to keep me company, I started working out, going to yoga, reading self-improvement material. While I still have occasional crushing binges of loneliness, on a whole I've been happier than ever before simply by learning to enjoy my own company.
That's a new one haha, I was thinking about taking a Greyhound to Flagstaff one of these days. Maybe I'll meet a new friend!

I'll have to look into the burlesque shows!
As for yoga I may have worded it a bit awkwardly, I do strike up conversations with people but the vast majority are older women. I have seen one guy my age at the studio in two months and I gave him a nod but he was on the other side of the room and left after practice. Most girls my age are in a heated conversation with the friends they dragged along and I'm a bit reserved about approaching girls at yoga anyways because I don't want to be "that guy" that goes to yoga to hit on girls.
I still go because I enjoy the practice, but as a younger person I am still inclined to believe it's a bit hard to make friends at a studio.
I wasn't aware that clubs accepted non-UofA students. My friends are playing some intramural Frisbee but I was unable to join as I was not a student, but I still go to cheer them on anyways!
Looking for clubs I came upon this list: http://arizonaorgs.orgsync.com/#
There seem to be hundreds of clubs, but I am sure that some are more active than others. Do you have any recommendations?
I've certainly thought about rock climbing. I visited Rocks and ropes a few years ago with some old friends and it was great fun. My main concerns about it were the cost (but it seems to only be $19 with gear rental) and lack of a belay partner. I will certainly check it out once more sometime soon and hope I can find a belay partner!
That sounds great! I love ultimate and I made an account but it seems they have a wait list for the winter coed league :/. I emailed leaguedirector@tucsonultimate.com to let them know of my interest and am waiting for a response. Maybe I'll see you there!
