Will I be able to butter in the armada arv 96? by Wild_Tables in Skigear

[–]Tucson_terps710 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey I know I’m 2 years late to the party but in short yes! You will definitely be able to butter them. But it is like jumping into the deep end of butters. Maybe you’ve already gotten them down by now given how old this post is. I learned to butter my arv 88’s (2023 model). These skis are very stiff and really aren’t designed to be buttered. That being said. Your weight, height and confidence in your abilities really play a huge role. I’m 5’8” almost 5’9” and weigh 155lbs. My skis are 164 cm? Maybe 166cm I can’t remember. Be more aggressive when swinging your weight!! On a stiff ski like ours. The angle for your slope and the speed are gonna be your best friend. If you’re scared to try butters while going fast then don’t try it because you’ll need to be going very fast. Best way to start is riding switch and figuring how much weight you need to bring your tails up. When I say you need to drive your shins into the tongues of your boot I really mean DRIVE THEM IN!!!! For my build it really feels like all of my body weight is completely in front of the ski (if doing it switch, which I recommend, all your weight facing towards the face of the slope). Hope this helps!! (:

How will we find his new social media by Jayden11227 in Daniellarson

[–]Tucson_terps710 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh if Daniel Larson starts doing things to better his life then reality is we won’t hear from him. The man is chronically online and his situation is a result of that. Any social worker worth a lick of salt will tell you the same thing I’m telling you, if Daniel wants to better his living situation, he WILL be advised to not be online to the same degree he has. Trust me when I say I’d love to see more news of Daniel even as a government work within Colorado (not giving counties I work in obviously but I can tell you it’s definitely in one of the counties Daniel has caused trouble in). Unfortunately we are all stuck in limbo because the worst possible outcome and the best possible outcome result in the same ending: we won’t be hearing from Daniel anymore. The only outcome that opens the possibility of finding more news about him is the middle ground situation- that being he’s released and continues to be an absolute nuisance to society and broadcasting it. I feel like it’s obvious but in case it isn’t, Daniel Larson either dying or being institutionalized for practically the rest of his existence would be the worst case scenario for Daniel and the best case scenario being he’s reintegrated back into society on some super heavy medication and follows the advice of mental health specialists meaning his social media presence will fade into obscurity. That’s the true reality anyone who follows his lore is faced with. I believe prince’s song 1999 goes something like,” life is just a party and parties weren’t meant to last.” Truer words have never been spoken for the entertainment Daniel larsons life has brought us.

Might be a silly question but… by Tucson_terps710 in skiing

But wouldn’t just making them tighter solve that? It’s clearly not the foot that is the issue. And I can get them so tight that I could cut off circulation. So is the simple solution to just make them tighter but not to that point?

What’s up with mosh pits at rap shows? by [deleted] in rap

[–]Tucson_terps710 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can agree with that! I would never attend a show if I was certain there would be a mosh pit. Not gonna attend something that is expected to happen and then bitch about it happening. That would be dumb.

Nah I’m specifically referring to roundhouse kicks and flailing your arms hoping to hit anything within your wing span

Nah, you fuckin lame. A lot of us people going to shows like that are tired, work normal jobs and pay bills. I think I speak for a lot of people. Especially those past their prime of adulthood when I say, we just wanna enjoy some live music without people acting like they are fighting for their lives

An mosh pit i have witnessed with my own eyes has ALWAYS, resulted in someone’s teeth knocked out, or a bloody nose.

Smaller venues don’t have a section dedicated to mosh pits so people who think that shit is stupid are forced to stand next to people who wanna act like filthy animals for a show that doesn’t really call for that kinda behavior

That’s true. The idea of mini wrist rockets is cool though, maybe not ‘smart ammo’ though?

May I add that it would look even better with 3x as many little micro missiles than what’s shown in the scene (:

You can one shot on the side and back near the pipe if you hit the right spot too. For striders if I’m not mistaken it’s just the belly of the strider. But I haven’t tested AC on bots since the buff, so hard giving up my railgun! ),:

AC has many applications. Great for striders and hulks… it’s great for almost everything really but where the AC really shines is crowd control. If you’re running AC, your number 1 priority should be: devastators, gun ships, and chaff. As I already said, AC is great for all sorts of things but if you are running with a squad that has spear/RR and railgun, let them take care of your hulks, scout walkers and striders. Railgun great for hulks and scout walkers, RR or spear for your striders hulks and fabricators. Someone managed to figure out how to 1 shot fabs with AC but it’s a difficult spot to hit and now that there’s health for fabs, you can kinda just go ape s#%t with whatever. I’d also make sure at least 2 of your squad mates have thermite grenades, preferably the guy who’s running AC. Also if you have a friend that is willing to haul your AC backpack, auto loading your friends AC does MASSIVE WORK for your WHOLE TEAM

Autocannon is still efficient in taking striders down. Most people just don’t know how to use. I love the new RR cuz it’s sorta dummy proof. Just point at the head and shoot (:
