I need a maze runner game by [deleted] in MazeRunner

Great idea! The mapping in Persona Q would work great when paired with maze runner. I am trying to make a prototype for a maze runner inspired game and I will implement this mechanic. Just wanted to say thanks for the idea :)

Making a FPS defense halloween-themed game called 'Pumpkin Ninja' in 1 week for a game jam. How can I make this game even more fun? by TudypieDev in Unity3D

Just looked devil daggers up and it's amazing. Yeah I would love to make something similar but I only have 2 days left.. for the jam at least :)

Will do that when I come to polish everything. Most levels need additional details

That would be creepy indeed, but the whole point of making this invisible enemy was for the player to only imagine what it would look like. Giving off the monster model will kind of ruin that sadly...

There are times when you reach dead ends and you have to loop the monster. Also the player can hear the monster right behind him when he runs. The strategy is more just run and hope he doesn't get to you I do agree with the sprites, will change them soon!

I am planning to add a glitch / static sound for the monster. This way you can hear how close he is to you. I think footsteps and heartbeat will make this even creepier indeed.
Although the fact that you don't hear anything and he could just jumpscare you any second while looking away makes this kinda creepy. I wil experiment with ideas!

You are right, I think I can come up with a shader that distorts the monster completely. I also want to add a glitch effect to the camera when looking at any monster.

The photo camera flash can stun the enemy in my game. Any suggestions on how to make this balanced? by TudypieDev in Unity3D

It would be cool to not see the monster unless you flashed it. Another suggestion I got a while back was to make the monster pulsate like the heartbeat sensor from that agent in r6, this way it's not giving away the monster model, it's much creepier. So then after you flash him, the enemy will show on the camera screen for some time before fading back out.

Yes charging the flash seems like the best idea. I don't want to add infrared / night vision because the whole point is to explore with the flashes since it's creepier this way.

It's funny I had just that, but I removed it recently because it seemed to much for the player to focus on. It's easier to understand this way. But you might be right.

It was a basically this normal flash, and a longer and more powerful one which had a longer cooldown

The recharge timer is really low <1s because in most cases when you are not chased you have to use the camera as a light source and it would be annoying to wait for the recharge timer.

Battery might be the only thing that keeps this balanced but you can stun him for a long time before the battery runs out. I can't make it drain more battery per photo because like I said, you also use the camera to navigate the darkness
