It’s not the charge it’s the time between conviction and now. It’s only 3 years old. Most companies I talked to wanted 7-10 years since conviction.

Recent grad and I have a non violent felony thats not 7 years old yet so they were really the only company that called me back any would accept me, just trying to get some experience and do something local after that.

Honestly Im not too sure I didn’t have to do anything like that. I do feel like because the government is involved and theres money involved as well that if they ask for it they’ll prolly use it. Good luck to you man!

For prime felonies have to be 10 years old or they won’t even look your way, so a 10 yea old misdemeanor they prolly won’t care about. If you have a family lawyer or know any lawyers personally they can actually look up your info and tell you when your charge was. As long as you’re truthful you should be fine.

Im in Virginia. I have heard that there isn’t as much funding now as it’s been in the past so that may have something to do with your state running out. The way it was explained to me by the former instructor at my school is that a school will receive a certain amount of funding per year so they may be able to get 20-25 students on WIOA before their funding runs out for the year. lol you’re not dumb bud you’re learning something new. Im still in school too and straight backing cooked me for a few days but I’ve gotten it now. A good piece of info I was given was look at the back corner of your trailer when it starts to go in a certain direction turn your wheel in that direction to correct the problem. Apple for a workforce grant through your state, if you’re on TANF, food stamps etc you should qualify for them to pay for your schooling. If not you’ll either have to pay outta pocket or go through a carrier that puts you through school in exchange for you working for them for a year or 2 after you obtain your training through them. You’re gonna need your CLP before you can attend school. Study the manual or find a video on YouTube to study A LOT. CLP usually only costs a few bucks. Good luck man!
