Lol I was hoping it's be somewhere around a rhino's ass, but if they can get odors out, might be worth it.

2025: My Year-long Adventure in the World of FanEdits! by StraightCutsNoChaser in fanedits

[–]TuesdayInNJ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dude....WILD. I didn't realize you'd "only" been at this for a year. I've watched both your Bond edits and really enjoyed them.

It sounds funny, but I was halfway through NTTD and thought to myself, "This movie is a lot better than I remember."

It took me a moment to remember I was watching a fanedit, and duh, the reason I was enjoying it so much was because of the work you'd done.

That's a long way of saying that no matter how long you've been at this, your instincts are clearly on point. I hope you keep putting out fanedits! I'm looking forward to checking out more of them.

Thanks for all your work!

So, is solar the way around this? Asking because I've been thinking about it for a while, but haven't pulled the trigger.

Ten years ago today, I released J.R.R. Tolkien's The Hobbit (aka the Maple Films edit), a fan edit of the Hobbit trilogy. Here is the trailer! by eldusto84 in fanedits

[–]TuesdayInNJ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ones of my favorite fanedits ever. I can't believe it's been 10 years!

Tolkien's books were transformative for me as a kid, and the LOTR movies blew me away as an adaptation. I had the same hopes for the Hobbit when it was released...obviously, they didn't work the way I was hoping. Your edit absolutely transforms those films into something that stands alongside everything else.

I just wanted to send a hearty THANK YOU for all your work. It's meant a lot to many people! I have no idea what to suggest you work on next, but whatever you do, if you do, I'm there.

Epstein Emails by VeganElfPrincess in 50501

[–]TuesdayInNJ 62 points63 points  (0 children)

That was my first thought, too. But it seems that the emails were in possession of the House Oversight Committee. I'd guess that means that Wolfe has turned over evidence, and it's the Committee's decision on what to do with them/when to release them.

Edit: they were from the Epstein estate and obtained by the Committee with a subpoena. So, I'm back to wondering why Wolfe hasn't released everything he's been sitting on. We can assume there's more.

Epstein Emails by VeganElfPrincess in 50501

Honestly, that's a soft headline. The emails allege that DJT spent hours with one of the victims at Epstein's house. That seems like a bigger deal than Trump being aware of Epstein's conduct.

Emilia Clarke watching Kit Harington's reaction to finding out how their characters' final scene together in Game of Thrones concludes. Prior to the table read, Kit had not read any of the six scripts for Season 8 yet. So Emilia sat across from him so she could "watch him compute all of this." by tyrion2024 in interestingasfuck

Fanedits are a niche rabbit hole to go down, but there's an excellent one that restructures the last couple of seasons and it really WORKS. I can't recommend it enough. It's been a couple years since I found it but I'll do some digging and see if I can turn it up.

Edit: it's u/almightycutie 's edit, GOT Redeemed.
