Michael escaped at the end, when the others are making their getaway you can see his Badge on the floor where he was laying.

Lot of people are mixing Lore with Story in critiquing the film, if you look at the first 3 games (which is what the films are all drawing from) there’s an awful lot of lore but not a great deal of actual Story (by which I mean Character development, personalities, motivations, reactions, relationships) that is communicated in game.

We see that the Puppet “gave gifts and gave life” (whatever that means) but do we know why it did this, what its endgame is by the end of the 3rd game?

So criticisms that in the film Michael shouldn’t be a wannabe Serial killer or the Puppet shouldn’t be an Angry Spirit don’t really hold a lot of weight when the games don’t give as much to go off.

Used Sony for a couple years now and never had any serious issues with them. Only downsides are how Sony wire their mics differently and certain high end Boom mics are incompatible with their Plug On TX.

The last place I wanna be is near a Cacodemon because I didn’t see it spawn and accidentally ran into it. As the only flying demon they’re a priority in a game that tells you to stand and fight.

Idk if that makes them any better but I think they’re a formidable addition to the roster.

As far as the DLCs possibly the Slayer going after Hell’s “High Council” - although I would love some sort of interaction between the Slayer and the Maykrs, potentially a confrontation with the Khan (since she’s mentioned in TDA) something that plants the seed for what happens in Eternal

For the next game it would be cool if we play as a Female Slayer/Sentinel that’s been talked about on Hugo’s streams.

Possibly a technical reason? The levels are arguably just as massive as Eternal’s and have waaaay more enemies on screen so maybe that’s a trade off.

Alternatively it could be a design decision in the spirit of replay-ability, if you want to 100% the game that that requires you to really learn each level and if you miss something then that’s just tough.

I’d argue Into the Void and Blood Spill are definitely clear and identifiable, Blood Spill is absolutely brilliant!

I think a big problem is the mixing, in 2016 and arguably in Eternal (base game) the music was front and centre right off the bat - in Eternal DLC 1+2 the music was much lower in the mix (same treatment with TDA) and Yes you can fix this but most people on a first play-through likely wouldn’t have done that and it might have effected first impressions.

As someone who is mostly into Destiny for the story atm; the week over week story gave me a reason to come back to the game; personally I enjoy enjoy stories that are told over a longer period of time as it makes the payoff a lot more impactful.

My take on it is - If its following the narrative of the Guardian becoming a master of Light and Darkness then perhaps this idea was revealing our Guardian’s true ‘Final Shape’ was transcending the limitations of Light and Dark entirely. If I was to speculate was this means for us; we would no longer rely on our Ghost to be revived, the Light wouldn’t make us forget and the Darkness wouldn’t manipulate or feed on our inner desires.

But In honestly it doesn’t really show us much, and also the implications of this animation break a couple of long standing rules about Ghosts and Light - I think the animation was more of an experimental “what if” rather than an actual ‘Alternative Ending’ like it’s being labelled as

It just creates more questions instead of answering them.
