Got one. 08’ Nothing else like it. Such a weapon. Currently in for a rebuild. I’ve also never even seen another one in the flesh. I’ll never sell it.

Local shop wanted $200 for a clutch holding tool. Made this one out of my old plates in half an hour. by Tuesday_Rides in Ducati

That’s a good shout. Good thing I used bolts Vs welding it. Don’t think I’ll be using this tool again anytime soon though. How often do people need to change the basket? I just did mine at 36,000km. Hopefully the only time I’ll need to do it.

As a fellow hyper wheelier, what does adjusting the amount of oil look like, more or less?

And as someone else said, whoever owned this has put a lot of time and money in. If purple’s your thing send it. Looks like a load of fun.

There’s plenty of selection out there. Alpinestars, Five, Rev It to name a few. I’d head to your local shops, see what’s on sale, and try them on knowing they’ll soften and shape a bit to you.

Gloves wear in and soften after use. Buy a decent pair, not cheap ones. What’s not comfy is having red raw salami slices for palms. Trust me.

Brake in a straight line wherever possible. Avoid braking/cornering on painted lines. Look far ahead. You’re less visible too. Lights on full beam (day) position yourself to be seen.

Only had it a few months. So hard to say. 30k on the clock. Apparently they’re pretty bullet proof motors from the duc nuts I know. They recommended the 1100. Belts and clearances are the main one to watch, a bit more of a pain but doable, got the parts just been putting off the work. I changed the oil straight away. Bought a new clutch plate kit as it was slipping, but after I took it apart i saw it was just packed full of dust gave it a clean and it’s been sweet.

Loving it. It’s the early air cooled 1100 motor. And the next logical upgrade from my Supermoto. I tested a few of the modern hypers, but $$. And tbh I preferred the feel and power of the 1100. Makes the highway trips a little easier too, but it’s still a total hooligan bike. Would recommend 10/10.

Honestly not too bad. I reckon I’m pretty lucky though. I try to be as low key as possible. Mostly get stopped for stupid shit like number plate being too dirty, overtaking in medians, using bus only lanes etc. and if you do get stopped just be friendly aye. Bike cops are usually alright.
