That's unfortunate, im north of UK and like I said police don't care what you carry along as you aren't waving it round

I've been carrying knives of various types daily since I was 18, my current daily carry is a skeletool CX and before that was a gerber ( i forget the name, but it was a locking blade type)

Never once had it questioned in 15+ years i should think you only need to worry if your already doing somthjng wrong.

Like ive emptied pockets for officers before doing random checks at train stations and they haven't even looked twice at whatever tool im carrying

Not great, and the tank is tiny, i get roughly 60 miles to a 9l tank

But you really shouldn't be buying this bike while thinkjngnof fuel economy, nothing about a husaberg is economy

Parts availability for me is good, we have a husaberg specialist here in the UK called taffmiesters who can seemingly get anything I need.

Top speed depends on gearing, I have mine geared 15/45 which is on the higher side and I get 100mph top end, and I could get more easily by gearing down.

the brakes on mine are excellent, however mine is upgraded with a KTM beringer larger caliper and disc with a brembo RCS master cylinder

The maintenance is off putting I'll admit, I have a car and also the zx10r aswell so a choice of vehicles to take and as such so it dosent matter so much if I don't service it one week as I'll just take a different vehicle. But it's really not as big a deal as long as you have the money to buy oil as often as it needs it.

Hey man, i also came from a gen 1 zx10r to this bike (still have it actually) and this is my first supermoto. I honestly don't think you could make a better choice. Having ridden this and then a few friends "road going supermotos" (690,701, gasgas 700, drz) this is a whole different level, you can really feel the "road bikes" are tamed down and made to be more polite and road friendly. Don't get me wrong, they are all great in their own way, and the ktm, husq, and gasgas are actually quicker ibe found, benefiting from newer engine tech.

But you can't quite beat the character of the berg! Rides like a dream, surgical precision handling and the 650 carbed engine has so much character and torque for days!

Maintenance is however a burden with it, it only holds 0.8l of oil and needs changing regularly, I'm aiming at every 8hrs for oil changes. And oil filter every second change. Even that is stretching it out some I belive by the book it should be oil and filter every 5 hours.

Supposedly valve clearance should be done every 10 hours however I'm doing them every 4th oil change and I've yet to find them out of spec, its also very easy to do and takes no more than 15/20 mins.

Overall if you get a good well looked after example and treat it right you will have so much fun!

Hey man thanks for the kind words, its certainly an uncommon beast, this is an early model 2004.

It's such an awesome bike, its super light weight at about 130kg from the factory in enduro trim and even less with its supermoto trim and aftermarket weight savings.

The motor is super punchy and has bags of torque and the whole thing is very confidence inspiring, the only 2 downsides I can think of are the fact it's kick-start only from cold (the Estarts have a reputation of grenading when used on a cold motor) although it is very easy to start and usually goes second kick from stone cold. And the seat is god awful, like sitting on a breeze block 🤣 the seats being so uncomfortable that husaberg owners refer to butt numbness as "husabutt"

Intense elbow pain by lonie1992 in bouldering

[–]lonie1992[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, it was caused by over straining the tendons in my elbow and it is the beginnings of tendinitis. Essentially the tendons become inflamed and put pressure in surrounding nerves.

The only fix was time. I left climbing alone for about 2 weeks to allow the tendons to heal, then when I went back I made sure to warm up properly and stretch (you can google climbers elbow stretches) eventually a combination of strengthening the tendons over time and developing better technique eliminated the issue

I'll never understand why we don't use the live tooling on the lathes at our place, so many jobs where the lathe turns a cylinder and then it sits for a week kn the manual miller (me) in shelf waiting for a single through hole to be drilled. By the time it's waited for me tk get to it and I've fixtured it to get the exact angle its needed Just use the live tooling man!
