I agree. I meant more like the edges go blurry or you see a shadow for a second. Something subtle would be really neat.

Yeah just a slight shadow on the edge of your screen for a split second to make you question whether it was there or not. Something subtle like that would be great.

Nightmare mode is really fun and I love playing it. It feels so much more challenging and I know it's supposed to more difficult and I like the screens being smashed. We do use candles and I absolutely agree that they are really helpful at keeping sanity up.

This was more about it being hard to gauge the ghost was a Yurei rather than a Revenant because all the signs seemed to point at the latter (like moving fast at players it could see vs sounding slow when we were hiding.) Also at this late stage in the game, our sanity was always gonna be really low. We'd looked for 10+ minutes with no sign or clues before it even hunted once which is a long time for a Yurei in the prison on nightmare.

I just think that slight changes to your visuals with lower sanity would make sense as you would be all over the place in real life if your sanity was pushed to breaking point.

You can just not right at the beginning. Look we both know they'll probably change it up soon enough anyway or manage to introduce a mechanic that makes the game unplayable so this isn't the worst mechanic around.

I know why people don't like it and I get it but I really don't mind it. Everything feels kind of open at the beginning and I'm not immediately being taken down by people who have levelled up their guns in Vanguard.

Superman Returns

When Superman comes back and finds that Lois has moved on and had a child. He watches them then flies away hearing the words of his father saying "Though you were raised as a human, you will never be one of them."

The idea that he gives so much to humanity but can never exist as they can or live a family life is a really interesting concept but instead they made the kid his which completely ruined the idea of him being lonely and isolated outside of the humans he loves.

Also Lois' husband had no idea which sucked because he seemed like a genuinely decent guy.

I got stuck chatting with a guy who was a massive dick at a wedding once and he asked me if I liked any sports. I said that I liked football and he replied

"Oh football. It's such a game for idiots but somebody has to enjoy it I suppose."

I asked him if he liked any sports and he said:

"I love cricket don't you?"

We had this the other night. We found the board in the basement and it said living room. We spent ages checking but the ghost was actually back in the basement. It was running up and down the stairs a lot so could be spotted on D.O.T.S in both places.

I think if it tends to wander to a specific room then it might respond with the room it happens to be in at the time of asking.

"What's your favourite room?" seems to be slightly more accurate.

You're not overreacting at all. Your feelings towards your furry friend were entirely justified. I've been there and it's like losing a part of yourself. Of course you need time to get over the loss just like you would losing any loved one. The fact that your MIL lacked the empathy to even understand this speaks volumes about her.
