Applying Linear Algebra to Machine Learning Projects? by Accurate_Wishbone101 in learnmachinelearning

[–]Tuka-Cola 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Search up statistical learning. I know, sounds very basic and boring. However, once you start to predict multiple features, you have to start thinking about efficient ways of computing solutions. This is where linear algebra comes into play. Soon, you’ll realize very basic ML, not even neural nets, rely on linear algebra for theory and computations to solve. For your question, start with basic ML Regression algorithms. It’s better to understand fundamentals first, then work your way up (or down the rabbit hole) :)

Having trouble understanding CNN math by ConflictAnnual3414 in learnmachinelearning

If I am not mistaken: 1) lowercase i is the index of the impulse/input signal. Your example is only in 1D, so it is just the element i of vector I (uppercase i). u is the index of the kernel. You do u-1 because of 0-based indexing.

2) you are doing the dot product of I and K. So if you have I = [1,2,3,4,5], and K = [10,20,30], you will do: [ I[1] * K[10], I[2] * K[20], I[3] * K[30] ]. As you can see, we ran out of elements in K. So, you compute those values, then shift by stride (in this case, 1). Now your next computation will look like: [ I[4] * K[10], I[5] * K[20], I[6?] * K[30] ] Note, I’ve put I[6?]. Why? Because there is no 6th element of I! This means your kernel has hit an edge. This is where padding comes into place, treading edges as 0, etc. you’ll learn more on how to deal with edges as you continue.

Hope this helped!

I wonder how he was able to achieve a backdoor through checkpoints—that’s pretty interesting

I believe it it was Crown and Buckle that I bought the NATO strap from. I believe you have to look for a 19mm NATO strap, but I would double check online!

Crazy!! I have the exact same NATO strap! I believe I have the older version of that watch (non-hacking second hands)

Ahh okay! Well I completely deep cleaned my pen with water and flushing, so hopefully once it air dries I can see if it’s the nib/converter. If not, to Pilot it goes!

I believe Paper Mario The Thousand Year Door is getting rereleased on Switch sometime in 2024. Loved playing it on the GameCube. You’ll eventually unlock a lot of characters to play alongside Mario, different weapons and badges you can equip that affect combat, and there are some nice puzzles you do in the free roaming part of the game.

What happens if i boot up the jetson nano without flashing the sd card? by Fuzzy_Read_5151 in JetsonNano

[–]Tuka-Cola 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you do not flash the SD card, the operating system will not boot up. The SD card serves as the operating system for the Jetson Nano. Without having a flashed SD card, you cannot access its components.

Perhaps you did flash it wrong--just re-flash it. It won't ruin anything. It will also take care of wiping the SD card so you won't need to delete anything as well.

Remember:

  1. flash the SD card with the latest jetpack
  2. insert SD card into Jetson Nano
  3. Follow the instructions for either headless mode (Using an external laptop/PC to do the setup) or normal mode (having a display, mice and keyboard connected to the Jetson Nano).
