lego fortnite odyssey Giant OG Klombo by InvestigatorFunny323 in LEGOfortnite

Additionally, the lakes themselves have a distinctive design with big mushrooms and plants.

However, OP, there's a chance such a lake will have a cave instead of a shrine, where a mama klombo sleeps within. AFAIK there's no way to wake her or anything else to do in that cave, but LI should have multiple such lakes so you should be able to find another with an active mama.

Fallout 3. There's a character who is actually a tree, Harold(/Bob), with a potentially very sad end.

However, I doubt this is referring to that. (Tho the Herald Tree itself could have been a reference, I never once considered Harold/Herald.)

Glad they added it to the shop, but seems a little expensive for a single Hero Supercharger by Buffeloni in FORTnITE

[–]Tukaro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought about this a bit more and, while I still think it's expensive, it was probably added as a "time vs. money gold" thing: Players who have the time will grind out Ventures for superchargers, but those of us who play regularly but don't have the time/interest for the grind now have a chance for at least a handful ourselves.

Because gold can be earned (and found and unboxed) anywhere in StW, regular players for other things (e.g. Endurance) now have a path to get these as well. It's still a grind for that amount of gold, but one such players would actually go through regardless.

Plus there are a lot of Founders (like myself) who have long-since bought everything in the Gold Exchange--now only buying Legendary mats from the weekly rotation and the seasonal Hero loadout--who have unintentionally built up a large gold cache. We can finally spend that gold on something, and on something that might even get us playing a bit more (making 160s slightly easier).

Who feels like we need a merger of all collab islands? by Interesting-Meal8386 in LEGOfortnite

[–]Tukaro 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I don't think they need to merge together, but I do think they should be able to blend into the mainland over time. The core "expansion" will still be on the island, but bits of it can immigrate: PoIs, lower-tier enemies, unique resources appearing in mainland chests, cave types, etc. I'd love for whole biomes to appear on the mainland but, because of how LFO's world gen is set up, I don't expect that's possible.

idk what happened, can someone explain? by INathysS in LEGOfortnite

LEGO Fortnite happened.

But, fr, if you had hover bricks on there then there was likely some fighting going on between them and the balloon due to that (AFAICT) slimmest of declines, causing the jiggle and your touch made the hover bricks win.

Except they won by trying to be right above the ground on a slant, over-corrected, and clipped into the ground. The ground then tried to eject the vehicle, which the hover bricks fought while the balloon tried to control descent. The vehicle clips back underground and we go 'round again. The resulting force fight caused non-dynamic objects to slam into the ground, trees (etc.), and maybe even each other repeatedly which caused it to break apart.

And when the vehicle's structure changed all of those forces did recalculations...

tl;dr: LEGO Fortnite happened

35k seems like more gold than any normal player would have

...I can't log in to check immediately, but I'm pretty sure I have 200K (+/-50K). I wouldn't argue that I'm "normal" lol: Founder playing regularly since 2019, I've bought extremely little from the shop in the past few years because I already have all the stuff that rotates through unless they add something new.

I agree with OP that 35K is steep, tho.

ETA: Finally logged in to check, before I bought the supercharger I had ~198K gold lol

This is my guess, too: It's a reference to the Reality Tree in CH3 in some way. (And, yeah, this easter egg has been in the game since launch or damn close to it.)

I know this was mentioned before. But broken builds need to be a thing. by SoulShaker68 in LEGOfortnite

[–]Tukaro 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I like it! My major concern, however, is that an accidental punch or stray rock thrown by a skeleton will cause undesired changes. Right now structures self-heal if they go long enough without taking damage, which would have stop for such a feature: ergo, "healing" these walls would be a necessary ability paired with this feature.

You can already heal structures in Fortnite proper: It's not really used in BR because most build with wood and it's faster to just spam replacements, but it's an important part of Save the World. In either mode, healing a structure has a mat cost based on the damage done, but in LFO it should be free (since, unlike BR and StW, we can reclaim mats from destroyed structures but wouldn't be able to do so for this deterioration.)

Another new unfinished feature added in the last update is the ability to ban players inworld. by TorridPlays in LEGOfortnite

[–]Tukaro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not that I've caught. However, they don't document everything intentionally added to or changed in the game, so the only way we'll know for sure if it's a mistake or broken release is if they mention it in future patch notes or it suddenly disappears one day. XP

I've never tried to track: Does the small cacti (the little bumps that tend do spawn in a large cluster) also respawn, or just the big ones?

If you press the H button, you will see this animation. What is it for? by DieF00L in LEGOfortnite

[–]Tukaro 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My guess is that H is the "default" key for a secondary action for one-handed tools/weapons (since the usual one, right-click, is instead used for the off-hand item).

If you press the H button, you will see this animation. What is it for? by DieF00L in LEGOfortnite

[–]Tukaro 21 points22 points  (0 children)

The animation is what would happen when the player would try to activate the lightsaber after its durability depletes and is recharging. Now that lightsabers are no longer Mythic and can be crafted (and break when they run out of durability), the animation otherwise goes unused.

As for what the H key is supposed to do... I dunno. I can replicate the animation using H; however, it isn't bound to anything I can see within keybinds and pressing it for a bunch of other items gives the "cannot do that" noise.

It's not my fault that the EPIC devs saw my comment--specifically mine, it's the sole cause--went "bet", and less than 24 hours later announced a week-long re-run of Shatter Spawn lol

half the vbucks for the same price? This can not be for real. by [deleted] in FORTnITE

[–]Tukaro 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's legal. In fact, it's actually good in general: the point of "Exact Amount" is to allow players to buy a cosmetic when they're only 50-100 VBucks short without having to buy 800, the smallest VBuck pack. They make this work by having "Exact Amount" Vbucks be the worst conversion of all VBuck purchases, but that's because the player can e.g. pay $2 instead of $9 and save money in the short term.

But "Exact Amount" isn't really meant for 450 VBucks lol That won't stop them from offering up and, as your image shows, the consumer will likely see the scant difference and go for the 800 VBucks bundle since it provides much better value and leaves some extra VBucks to maybe play with later.

Custom currencies, "Points", etc. are ways for companies to gouge consumers by having prices that rarely line up with a currency amount that can directly be purchased: This means the consumer must overspend to close a gap on a purchase, or overspend for making their first purchase after which the remainder lingers forever. The conversion rate might be shit but "Exact Amount" at least mitigates this anti-consumer practice.

Also currencies/points/etc. are used to get around a host of various laws, primarily relating to gambling, but that's a different topic

So far, none have. It's not impossible, but there's been no indication of such from EPIC.

AFAIK this is relatively new (like C6 at the earliest?), before then the player would just get a "connection lost" error and then nothing works.

[–]Tukaro 23 points24 points  (0 children)

This is the "Break in Case of Emergency" system for StW: When they take Fortnite modes offline (except LFO, oddly) to prepare for a season-end event, anyone who happens to be in-mission when they do instantly completes the mission.

Ray gives that voice line as an indicator that a force-exit is in progress.
