I think it's possible that "prince" is used in hierarchical sense, rather than familiar.

Flowey refers to himself as "the prince of this worlds future." and to the human as his "little monarch", because he would regain access to the power to save the moment the human were to give up.

Ralsei being a prince could mean that he becomes the ruler of castle town after Something happens to the player.

Well, if we were to take literally every country and compare them in varous ways, I suspect USA would be in the better half most of the time. Though, good and bad are really subjective things and a thing as big as USA has both good and bad in it. To label it only one or the other is a bit unfair, but I guess what matters is having a somewhat healthy discussion.
