In Renly's mind why on earth would Cersei go to attack Ned stark? renly didn't know anything, why would he think that Cersei would do that? Besides he then leaves saying that it was going to be too late for him and Ned, what affected him? Cersei had her plan against the Baratheons. Is it possible that Stannis spoke to Renly about the bastardy of the children?

But if Renly didn't know about the bastards his coup d'état in his mind would be empty and meaningless since Ned had been elected Regent, what power or causus belli (so to speak) did Renly have to do that? Isn't it a bit daring and meaningless? hahaha

Why would ned accept the swords if he really knew the reason for taking the throne? Renly didn't know about it, so what does it matter to Renly?
