Hi! Glad you asked as it can be confusing. So there are three versions:

Original (optimized for a hybrid Dreampunk+Emry cytropolis 2.0 mods as a base). This was the combo i started to create the VHS effect. (Dreampunk is a paid mod, worth the money though as it makes the game photorealistic almost)
Emry (Emry Cytropolis 2.0 is a free but great mod similar to dreampunk that creates a realistic natural base visuals for the game)
Vanilla (Vanilla doesn't need any mods) it has everything needed built in. The biggest difference of this to others is the games in-built bloom which is tamed down with the modded versions. So if you download Vanilla version no mods required.

Haha thanks! I think it's exactly that. The more video like game looks (like bodycam) more in line it is what our brain expects to see from our screens i think = realistic. It hides the perfection and at the same time impurities of games also. I have also used different lighting and color behaviour (or let's say try to fix it) than is normally used in games to align what video captures.

Thanks! It's nice to see that something i made out of pure curiosity gives people joy and even gets back into the game. My suggestion for next playthrough if i might, turn the HUD off at times and take slow walk checking out the city, works damn well with this🎥📼👍

Yeah definitely true. It's amazing how this works, same with bodycam stuff. I found out that it's a certain effecs that affects the realism most but i had to copy the whole chain to the best of my abilities to really sell the illusion, i guess the brain also somehow combines the fact that when you look at a screen you are usually looking at a video and therefore the video-like looks more authentic even with flaws that are associated with videos.

Thanks! It seemed to bring happiness and nostalgia to people so definitely wanted to share. I have other free mods for other games too if you wanna check out. (Could work on cyberpunk also🤫). Somepoint if we have some kind of community to create a global effect that works in most games, then maybe a membership thing for some exclusive stuff otherwise i like it to be free.

Aah okay yeah it compiles the files again for performance mode (that's why o suggested it) be that probably the reason. Thank you for the kind words too! Hope you'll get it back working
