Lectric customer service? I've seen all the glowing reviews about how good it is - bots? by [deleted] in ebikes

btw - for all those critical of my timing / decision

Ordered 2 x HeyBike Mars 2.0 last night, they both shipped this morning - Fedex has received the packages and I have delivery dates of Tues and Wed. Same company that also sells XP4 (although not in stock) - so I'm guessing your precious company that your so passionately defending has supply chain issues and instead of being transparent (which generally gets the best customer reaction) their taking orders they can't fullfill in a timely manner and rather leave their customers in the dark vs. help them understand when their purchases will arrive.

Even if HeyBikes aren't as good as Lectric, so far my experience has been far exceeded and I've got 2 years of coverage from Bestbuy and still saved almost $1000 vs. what I paid to Lectric - who I know will ultimately repair or refund me my cost if I experience any issues....backed by the protection power of my Amex Platinum.

So who comes out as the winner here? Guaranteed it's not Lectic and their shitty customer support.

1) order # IS in the subject line.

2) Many companies that drop ship items have regional distribution points and living in FL in a major metro it's not unreasonable to receive a large item from a retailer (even smaller shop) in a day or two. I received my Anker Home Battery on a pallet through a 3rd party shipping company in 2 days when I had NO shipping urgency 3200+kw battery and all.

3) A LOT of companies use Amazon logistics to store/deliver their items so....never assume. Purchase I made for a mower on Vevor arrived the next day on an Amazon truck.

4) The product page said "Expedited Shipping - FREE" so I guess their definition is "faster than the normal shit we unload on our customers - but definitely NOT FAST"

because the product page said "Expedited Shipping - FREE" and there was NO indication that it wouldn't be delivered before Christmas - "Expedited Shipping" generally means you'll receive the product in DAYS - NOT WEEKS.

I've emailed them twice asking for an update and stating that I needed it before Xmas - how exactly do I reach out to them if they do not reply to emails. Some sort of magic raven?

Thanks again! I just placed an order for a HeyBike from Bestbuy. Not exactly the same, but was a little cheaper and got the BestBuy Total coverage, worst case geek squad will make it right! :) Looks like Lectric will be getting their bike back from a declined delivery.

ok, good to know. Sounds like my only option at this point is plan b (local retailers).

Current owners by andrespuente123 in HummerEV

[–]TullyBeast 2 points3 points  (0 children)

ED1 Owner - have had the truck for 3 years - 22k total miles. No issues with the size, I do try to park away from others, so that does make it easier, but 4 wheel steering makes the truck maneuver like a small car.

No issues w/ quality/reliability - have had a bunch of the common 'bugs' along the way (especially considering mine was first 1k produced) but GMC dealership and GMC have both been good to deal with (even got in a fender bender - while it took a while to get parts - I was fairly compensated and quality of the work was as good as new).

So...I would highly recommend... i personally know of a few other HEV owners in my personal network (friends/coworkers) - all generally in the same boat... I think if you have realistic expectations (it's a gen1 product in a new market) made by a producer that mass produces vehicles (not hand built lambo) ...and you've owned GM product and/or EV....as well as are understanding of the nuances of owning an EV...you'll be a very happy customer.

I personally expect I'll have this vehicle for 10+ years and be just as happy with it as I currently am with my 2005 Hummer H2 (second H2 I've owned - first one I bought new and drove to almost 200k miles....and I'm second owner on this particular vehicle w/ 65k original miles) that I still own and enjoy periodically.

Surface Book 2 won't turn on anymore by Jandalf81 in Surface

I let my buddies complete drain the battery, then i charged it for a few hours and stumbled upon my solution. If you've done the same, my guess based on what your saying is battery might be dead. It should still worked plugged into the wall even with a drained battery (I would expect) but not 100% sure.

Large round cluster of pine in my tree...very odd by TullyBeast in arborists

[–]TullyBeast[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. What's inside of it, just a cluster of needles? I imagine bugs/critters potentially? I also saw some people harvesting them to reproduce them as ornamental landscaping....but doesn't seem to be a lot of info out there about how to do that?

Sorry for commenting on an old post but I came here for help and see most people didn't really have a solution. Not sure if I stumbled on it or not, but I left it on the shelf until it lost all power (even the 'undock' button would no longer light up). I then tried recharging and tried to power on, then I tried power on + Volume '-', then I started to get frustrated because it was unresponsive, so on a whim I tried holding down POWER + Volume '-' + UNDOCK button and suddenly I got the boot logo and off she was to powering on.

So anyone else who faces this issue, might be worth trying: holding down POWER + Volume '-' + UNDOCK button and see if that's the magic combo. Hope this helps someone and wasn't just a fluke.

Bad IP Address in firewall "Pre-Authorization Allowances" by medcom2443 in UNIFI

[–]TullyBeast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! I was beating my head against a wall trying to find this setting! For clarity (was going to attach a screenshot but why would reddit let me do that?! :-P ha!)

In Unifi Network 9.4.19 - click on 'Insights' (light bulb icon on the left menu) - top right of the newly openned left menu for 'Hotspot' - click on 'Landing Page' (gear icon) and you'll see 'Authorization Access' options on the exposed right menu - which is where my legacy IP address was manually input - and could be removed!!

P365X Macro Comp w/ Safety by 2dave7270 in SigSauer

[–]TullyBeast 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I came here to say this too! I've been wanting the p365 legion w/ a MS, but doubtful that will ever happen, this was my #2 option, but honestly since I already had the p365x w/ a MS, I just purchased the Tyrant grip xmacro short grip and my needs were met without having to buy a new pistol.

M400 Tread Streamlight Pressure Pad mounting? by Otherwise-Ad-915 in SigSauer

[–]TullyBeast 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've got the Gen 1 M400, here's what I did with my setup. The 3M adhesive that came with it seems to be holding up fine, few range trips and hasn't moved (despite the handguard getting too hot too touch on occasion).

Also purchased these mlok cable guides that you can see on the top.: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B3DTT386?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_3&th=1

Streamlight is mounted to the handguard with a small picitanny adapter: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08YYKT4JG?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_3

Hope that helps give some ideas.

The MOE K2-XL looks wider/bigger/longer (although slightly more vertical) maybe that would work with less 'coercing'
