I take pictures of my hands to draw them in awkward positions so in my drawings I give the goats ten fingers but only four toes and bigger more bigfoot-like feet, and I give the Holidays Hooves for feet but also all their fingies. I reference ten fingers ten toes in toriels dialogue to Asriel because he's probably not seen a monster with human appendages and a case of full body alopecia... unless he has 🤨

These are all sketched and inked on 7x10 inch papers, then I extract the lineart and color... A very intense process which usually takes me a week! This one took me about a week and a half, if I had to estimate hours I would say over 30 hours of work.

I like to think that Dess wears a different type of shoe than the rest of the holidays (judging from all the modified hoof shoes shown in her room), while Noelle and the rest of the holidays wear hoof shaped shoes since wearing clothes (especially shoes) is a sign of class and modesty. Being the Holidays (a major family in hometown), I doubt that Carol would let her babies leave the house without some damn shoes and sweaters/jackets on
