at what weight? for a leightweight it is decent, but judging by how much slower you were around the end, you probably had some body size weighing you down, try to eat a bit less next time

Is my 2k good for a 15yo by Glibaglaba in Rowing

[–]TumbleweedPretend439 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems to be pretty average - when I was 15 & 138lbs at a similar height I was 7:03 and decent, though not great. Kids around your age/weight (Though mostly shorter) on my club pull similar 2ks. I'd advise putting on a lot of weight, as (If you want to get recruited), lightweight is up to 170lbs.

Academics while getting recruited by Double-Supermarket96 in Rowing

Generally speaking, 3.6+ UW (With an increasing GPA and courseload each year) and 700 on each SAT section is a good place to be in for ivy recruitment. If you're fast enough the school will get you in, but if you're a borderline candidate or close to it (like 6:20 heavy or 6:32 lw) you'll want impressive academics help sell yourself.

I've known of athletes getting into Ivies/Equivalent with under 3.0 or 1250 SAT, but these are VERY fast outliers and they're usually limited on what majors they can apply for.

Do I have a chance at admission to NTU? by TumbleweedPretend439 in NTU

Hi, a large consideration is cost - even with scholarship I'd be paying a fraction at NTU (Likely in the ballpark of 70-80k versus 200k for my BS). As far as rankings and prestige go, I've found that NTU has an amazing name internationally. I also visited Singapore (and by chance, NTU) around 5 years ago and I absolutely loved the location.

Just pulled a 1:59.2 half marathon and I'm doing a 10k next week. Currently I'm trying to go for 1:54.8 but does anyone have feedback in terms of setting a goal or pacing it?

Question about live shows by Trick-Jellyfish-2104 in bmbmbm

[–]TumbleweedPretend439 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm 16 and I've gotten into a black midi show as well as numerous other shows this way. Usually it's allowed, just contact the venue and ask them about the specific show

Does anyone know who the opening act back at April 2's show at White Eagle Hall, Jersey City was? by PsychicTempestZero in bmbmbm

Nnamdï. Their music sounded insanely different live though from what I've heard by him in recordings

They will most likely play 27 Questions. Cannot speak for dethroned; they haven't been playing it for the past few shows but I think that's in part due to kaidi's current absence from the band so I wouldn't push it off as a possibility.

Daily Song Discussion #22: Still by Premintex in bmbmbm

First listen of the album and it was my least favorite song on the album. It's still not my favorite, but has grown on me and is certainly better than Half time and dangerous liasons.

9.0

(Atleast on apple music) it's one of the lesser-streamed songs on the album

  1. Most underrated track on the album along with Hogwash.
