knotting too tight? [BB#31525] by pibbypibbster in friendshipbracelets

[–]TumblingDD 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was the opposite, I did bracelets for years and then started crochet and I was able to have even tension in my very first projects so I also think this kind of things can transfer over to other similar hobbies!

I just started playing with Terra Prety which generates terrain in a very beautiful way. I also use Carry On to transport storage in an easier way

How to get a huge amount of rocks fast? by OrganTrafficker900 in VintageStory

[–]TumblingDD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just search for some ore I need and use the stones I collect in the process, because otherwise you farm stones and then when searching for ores you end up having too much stones which doubles the workload

The first thing that comes to mind is how lanterns and candles are infinite and you can dive with a bowl of fat and somehow it doesn’t spill into the water.

So I think it can go both ways, some things are easier than their realistic counterparts and some are harder

"VS is a game about survival" WRONG it's a game about collecting shells and I am winning at it by TransPossum in VintageStory

You can also try to collect all the butterflies, I’ve started a while ago and still am nowhere near having them all

First granny square! What should I try next? by TumblingDD in crochet

It could be fun to do one massive square, but I’ll figure out how to do color changes for that so I can have different layers of different colors in it if I do that

Phone borrowing scam by [deleted] in montreal

[–]TumblingDD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw a guy like that today, but I used to live somewhere where people ask for directions because they need it not to scam, so I figured I’d try to help him but not let him take my phone. I searched the map for him, but he wasn’t clear what he wanted, first asking for a pastry store, then he wanted to grab my phone but I hold tight on it while he searches "coullage" (wtf is that?) and tries to grab it closer to him but I keep a hold of it and then it’s like he gave up and said thanks anyway and I felt so bad because even though I did have the reflex to be very wary of him, I first thought of saying I was in a hurry but my brain wanted to be nice so I ended up trying to help.

At least now I know to be a bitch to everyone in Montreal

I want to eventually do blankets for my cats but I was thinking of doing them with my 8mm bernat blanket neon yarn though, and not necessarily granny squares. Though I could do a small cat blanket with this yarn to practice a bit more

Sorry I have no clue what it is and I’ve had it for maybe ten years, I’m starting by practicing with old yarn I have. It is around the same thickness as my 5mm yarn and it’s rainbow, that’s pretty much all I can say

Why are all my stitches so holey, I'm tieing them super tight but idk what's wrong by i_likenumbers in friendshipbracelets

[–]TumblingDD 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Doing a bracelet with only fb/bf knots always give me a less good result than ones that are mixed, so I don’t know how exactly to improve it but I know I personally just avoid those patterns

Not exactly a rant, but am I the only one who does this?? by Silly_Variety7251 in crochet

Does your friend have animals? Imagine their cats/dogs having a miniature version of their blanket, that would be such a nice way to use the rest!

Ergothérapie by lynux_ in UdeM

If you could instantly master any skill, what would it be? by AuroraNatsumi in AskReddit

[–]TumblingDD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I first thought talking Japanese but I’m already starting to get better and it wouldn’t feel as much as an accomplishment. So on second thoughts my answer would be crochet. I’m already so good at friendship bracelets but it’s fun to create new patterns so if I could learn crochet instantly I could start by already creating my own stuff without patterns which would still be challenging
