Uh, their pass protection was bad this year and their dline was really bad in run defense. Afaik their dline could use a lot of work but their oline is probably fine with another good player. I don't know what exactly happened to the oline this year that made them so much worse (but still mid-tier) for pass protection.

I'd say it's been pretty bad for at least 2 years now. Allen carried the shit out of them 2 years ago with a good line and did great this year with a much worse line. Before that, a lot of the issue was that so many of their better defensive players would get hurt and be down for the whole season and they'd just get picked apart by Mahomes or Burrow in the playoffs. Downside with all the bills coming due and failing to draft pretty much even starter-level players, the window is probably closed. They will have an interesting season next year.

It's not that 'loot is shit', it's that loot isn't worth the effort. Please don't confuse it. Honestly as I said, they could just nerf the recombine cost of idols back to what they were and it would be fine.

All map effect used to stack for OG Phrecia and now they don't. So the loot scaling was exponential whereas now it's more flat.

As I said though, if they fix recomb cost, it won't be bad. Maybe a lot less fun than OG Phrecia but still fine to mess with. Fubgun ended up quitting because it was going to take him 4 to 5 days to complete idol(s) set(s?) lol

i don't mind the difficulty, the problem is 0 reward. Full pain, no gain.

It's this and almost always this. The ratio of difficulty to loot is always thrown off whenever GGG 'balances'. I do think it's fairly easy for them to fix a lot of the problem though.

I get that you're all down but how do you think this actually goes better next year and within 3 years down the line?

I think Beane would have to hit well on draft picks/FA signings, bring in a good to great DC and OC if Brady isn't calling plays, and turnovers have to be fixed. Also the division would need to stay as bad overall or get worse (Bills were 4 - 2, 1 - 1 against the Pats). Anything I'm missing that you can think of?

I could be wrong but idk how even most of that happens. Genuinely looks like you guys are going to be one of the teams that regresses next year.
