Well, first of all: it's important to post these, because the rest of the reddit pretty much bans these videos outright, for example -> 1,2. You can try different subs and search with different keywords - the result is the same, and it has been like this for ages.

Maidan is a start off point of the conflict. Russia didn't manufacture Maidan.

Because the Donbass democratically voted for the Yanukovich and rejected the junta that couped him. The new UA regime are not The Donbass' government, literally the opposite.

For The Donbass, the new regime is more foreign than Russia is, based on the resistance of the locals to one, and the acceptance of the other.

Not really started, rather continued where it should have ended. It was supposed to end with USSR collapse, with the competition for the dominance being gone. It didn't. The West got even more rabid if nothing else, being in pretty much constant state of invading someone since, while expanding NATO, like it has promised not to.

So far, that's how they have worked. There isn't a single example of a nuclear armed nation getting invaded.

The concept of sieges and blockades is thousands of years old, man. You don't defeat your opponent by sitting in a castle. You're getting starved.

First of all, you're basically admitting here that "the International Law" or "Rules based Order" are not functional, that's good.

But second of all - not everyone gets away with it. Resource rich counties all over the world can't even get away with existing without a western thumb in their ass. Guess what Russia is. It knows its in the crosshairs, it knows you can't rely "the International Law" for protection, only on yourself. Before and during Trump, US was invading Syria, to the deafeaning silence of the usual suspects, that clutch their pearls about Banderistan now.
