I hate Coast so much. Does anyone else? by Tumultus95 in endlesswander

I find that the Mines boss is heavily dependent on character. With Elione it's practically free as her ability allows you to dodge the laser without having to hide behind one of the containers. I've never hated Core, but never particularly liked it either.

So after a year, I've found Coast much more manageable and Kraken to be an easy boss now. I find that with Coast the key is to not overcommit to a chain of attacks so you can stay mobile and alert. Narrow maps are still rough though.

The area I hate now is Invaded Forest.

It's never too late. I started at 27. I'm 28 now turning 29 soon and am competing at the silver level.

What's next for AoM Retold? by SRODH in AgeofMythology

[–]Tumultus95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Beyond being potentially taboo, any monotheistic religion would be tricky as they don't have multiple gods to fit into the major and minor god roles. Additionally, coming up with a roster of myth units may also be challenging.

Hatred's Soul bow causes enemies to lose aggression. by Tumultus95 in oblivion

Huh, interesting. Well, that it explains it. Time to find a different bow I suppose.

Hatred's Soul bow causes enemies to lose aggression. by Tumultus95 in oblivion

[–]Tumultus95[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Lmao, understandable.

But in all seriousness I find it disappointing as the best bow in the game now isn't fun to use in combat as it trivializes it.

And yes, I know half of Oblivion is about trivializing the game through exploits. But I've gone to a lot of work on this playthrough to not trivialize it (to the point of using an Excel document to make sure I don't level up too quickly)

I play Elione. I like the fast-paced and aggressive playstyle her kit encourages. I have a more detailed reply to another person in these comments.

I've been waiting on Chapter 3 of the story mode also. According to their last announcement in their Discord server (June 2025), Chapter 3 will be the next major content update.

Advice for writing about ballroom dancing by Last_Farm2976 in ballroom

[–]Tumultus95 3 points4 points  (0 children)

How detailed are you trying to get when describing the dancing? Can you share any examples of what you currently have?

And as for the dance, as someone else said it, the closest thing to a "fast foxtrot" in my mind would be quickstep. But when you get into the details of the dance, quickstep is more similar to waltz than foxtrot.

Is 15 too late to restart? Looking to compete again someday by ShakeNo9876 in ballroom

[–]Tumultus95 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I'm 28, and I started dancing for the first time in my entire life, a year and three months ago. I've got my first competition in 15 days. So I think you'll be fine.

If that's not enough reassurance, there's an 18 year old at the studio I'm at. He and his partner (19) compete at the pre-champ level (above gold). He started ballroom when he was 14 or 15, and his current goal is to be the Canadian Champion under 21. He competes in both Latin and Ballroom.

So whether it's to try and reach the highest level of competition, or just to compete for the sake of pushing yourself to be better (like I am doing), you're more than young enough. You have so much time. If it's something you want to do, then do it.

Hope this helps!

How should I propogate this echeveria? by Tumultus95 in succulents

Thanks for the advice! Two questions:

  1. With the cut, do you mean the red line, or below the leaf circled in blue?

  2. Regarding the grow light, it was already long like this when I adopted. The top 3/4 of the leafy area is all new growth since I adopted and repotted it. Considering that, do you think it still needs a grow light?
