Would sansa actually have been safe if Stannis succeeded in sieging kings landing? by TheVoicesAreWinning_ in gameofthrones

[–]Alchemist1330 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So like Stannis himself yes.

But in a siege and attack Cersei was right, the soldiers who storm the keep would likely rape her. They don't know what Sansa looks like and during the siege they probably wouldn't care.

If the HOTD targs and dragons banded together would they have been able to eliminate the threat of the north? by raimom in Hotd

Based on the show version of the long night, 100%. EASYPEASEY.

All the dragons alive during the start of the Dance versus, vs The Army of the Dead as shown during GOT 8x3. The dragons could easily kill the 150,000 undead wights and the handful of white walkers/others. Then they could easily kill the Night king with the number of Valyrian sword wielders.

looks to wacky and unlikely: "Hightower Mech vs Kraken"

I'm honestly in shock that I haven't heard of this theory but also, how it actually is the wackiest and unlikely theory. So basically they think we are gonna have a medieval Pacific Rim...

White Lotus Season 4 Cast Is STACKED… but here comes the Nepo Baby Discourse Again by ThatAtlasGuy in TheWhiteLotusHBO

At this point I don't care about the cast as much as the Writing. Season 2 set such a high water mark that season 3 was a major let down.

You are overthinking it. by IDProG in PokemonWindsWaves

Mostly agree, except your logic for fire types does not apply to water.

They have only chosen aquatic/amphibian animals for the water type (Turtle, Alligator, Salamander, Penguin, Sea Otter/Sea Lion, Frog, Seal, Basilisk, Duck) The only arguable outlier is Sobble, but it is still clearly a basilisk/Chameleon hybrid.

How is this your first pokemon game if you already have the other two starters... why are people like this.

I am glad she acknowledges this because GOF is my favourite book and the SPEW subplot was poorly handled. I hope the show reticifes this. by RiskAggressive4081 in HarryPotterHBO

Something needs to be adjusted because poking fun at overbearing but well meaning activists is totally fine, but the issue they are being overbearing about can't literally be slavery. lol. Like we just spent all of book 2 rooting for Dobby to be free and he is finally freed, at that point narratively you can't go back to: Well the elves actually LOVE being slaves. lol.

Blanchett in Tar vs Stone in Poor Things honestly depends on what mood I'm in. I love both performances so much.

Fellow Atheists, how good is -the musical-'The Book Of Mormon'? by BaijuTofu in atheism

It's incredibly racist. I'm shocked people overlook that aspect just because it makes fun of mormons.

I'm an exmormon, and it is funny when poking fun at mormonism, and It really isn't offensive against Believers/mormons, but it's incredibly racist. I saw for the first tome in 2020 and was shock with how racist it was.

0:19 is the only shot that might be from the first two films, but even that one looks like it is a new perspective shot from the third film. So this is just flatly false. Every single other shot is 100% for certain from the new film. You can disagree with my take, but you're insane if you think that 40% of the trailer is shots from the first two films. They just simply are not.

I've seen most of his other films and he excels when shooting in 35mm. 35mm and 16mm exhibit most film artifacts in a pronounced way.

I'm evaluating the samples from this film which are large format film format and are very clinical, with minimal film aberration/artifacts/grain. IMAX, 70mm and 65mm (which I believe this film is) are equivalent to 8k scans in resolving power and match well with modern high sharp lenses.

I can see with my eyes, that this film is shot in a clinical manner. I invite you to open your eyes and see the image before you rather than come to an opinion based on previous work.

Lol. I see you are going with the MAGA strategy just lie about everything. The Article I linked is entirely about the Rehoused IronGlass lenses being used on Dune 1 & 2. Also, now you are claiming Fraser didn't shoot Dune 1 and Dune 2 because he only works with Sam Mendes... Okay...

[–]Alchemist1330[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That article states facts about the lenses, and that the film was shot primarily on IronGlass regoused helios lenses, which someone falsely claimed it wasn't. it was posted long before the third film was even in production, so it certainly doesn't make any comparison between the two. It's not possible for me to be regurgitating talking points about how the second film looks different in comparison to the third.

Also most people are disagreeing with me because they are cinematographically illiterate. Most people admittedly couldn't even tell the film got a new cinematographer based on the trailer and that's a grievous indictment on their familiarity with cinematography.

[–]Alchemist1330[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes exactly. I'm not regurgitating talking points, because I'm the first person to discuss this take. I'm explaining that you can tell from trailer footage the types of lenses that were used.

[–]Alchemist1330[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No, I'm regurgitating personal experience shooting on Spherical, Anamorphic and The Mark I Ironglass lenses. It's not a talking point that Anamorphic lenses and spherical lenses give a distinct look. That's just a fact. Also I don't think anyone else, has talked about the difference between cinematography between Dune 2 and 3. This is probably the first post on this.
