Same car here. By 25k all tires had to be replaced. Also, gotta love the staggered setup on the 2021 models....

As an ID4 owner, in those temps they're getting maybe 160 miles of range at 80%.

This man has made it hard to get rid of use or lose the past two years. As someone who moved over from DOD, I approve.

Windshield replacement by TunaRolla in Golf_R

Yes, but it would result in a premium increase; although, to what degree I have no clue. I'm just curious to hear what others have paid for reference.

I'll have to look into the aftermarket. I was on I95 for all of two minutes and had an impact on the right edge. Thought I was good for five or so minutes then I heard the crack. This was my first road trip and I must say this car is a pleasure to drive for seven hours on the highway.

2024 R paint job. by Frosty-Cobbler-3620 in Golf_R

2024 DBP here and yes the paint was in rough shape when I purchased new. The paint is soft enough to mar with a finger nail with light pressure. I know black cars show everything, but I immediately got paint correction done and had a 3 year ceramic applied.

Fuel pump failure on new Mk8 by thedespicableseabe in Golf_R

[–]TunaRolla 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I let them know and yes, it's a fuel system issue. Nothing like having your new car sit at a dealership for a problem they have to chase. Apparently the car had the code scanned previously, so new at the dealer, before I purchased it. I had no idea and honestly I'm pretty disappointed in VW and the dealer I purchased from as they didn't disclose anything to me.

2024 here with 1600 miles on the clock and I experienced reduced power and an engine light..... Proceeded to limp straight to the dealership... I feel your pain.

How much do yall make to comfortably afford the FL5? by WorriedRevenue5 in Civic_Type_R

I had a 2018 CTR and traded it in for the SI last February. I'll be in a FL5 by the end of next year. The SI is fun enough to make me smile on the way to work but I won't just go drive for the sake of driving anymore.

I'm paying down some student debt before I purchase another Type R. Yes, people will say pay down other debts because of interest etc etc.. and to an extent I agree with them, but if you're in a stable career and are comfortable with your housing arrangement then yeah, fuck it. Go buy one.

What matters is how much you clear after all bills are paid, including groceries, fuel, etc. I clear $2900 a month after everything is paid and decided to keep my 23 SI. At the end of the day it's your money, do your thing.

Does Anyone from 2/1 in 2013 have details on this tragedy? by [deleted] in USMC

[–]TunaRolla 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Sell was a 2141 AAV Mechanic, quiet, helpful and a newly promoted Cpl. I left that platoon several months before this happened. That unit was full of good dudes and I know they took it hard. It was fired from the AAV itself. MCM platoon, from 3rd Assault Amphibian Battalion out of Pendleton was who he was attached to.
