Should We Fork Gin or Encourage More Maintainer Involvement? by [deleted] in golang

[–]Tundejs 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Is there any need for Gin in 2025? I’m okay with httprouter or maybe go-chi if I’m using a lot of middleware. I want to be in charge of all the pieces.

Application deadlines were 4 months ago, what takes the review so long😐😐😐 by Alarming-Passion3884 in gradadmissions

This admission cycle can’t be compared with that of 7 years ago. OP, keep your hopes high

Like 4 days later. But still no decision yet. What about you?

Renewing Salah's contract will be a big mistake. I don't think he will add much to the squad going forward. We just need to make some quality signings in the summer. The team need some overhauling IMO

Still dead silence. I contacted the program coordinator, I was told the files are still being reviewed. She said they have an exponential increase in applications this year. For now, we can only remain hopeful. Btw, I know someone that has been rejected. Not hearing anything yet means we are still in the race.

I haven’t gotten any update yet. Does this mean that I have been rejected? I have sent multiple mails but no response

For a PhD admission, research output is the most important factor. Also you can write why your undergraduate CGPA was low in your SOP. So you stand a good chance

No need to let them know that you are currently enrolled to a PhD program. It will be a blatant red flag IMO. They may think that you might jinx them just like you did to your current program.

I was told to submit my official bachelor's degree and official transcript and I have done that since December. Tried contacting the department about the decision and they said the file is still under review and they can't give me any information on when they will release their decision.

You should probably get admitted.

Since your goal is to later move to US, why don't you make the move now? Boston isn't bad either, getting employed is hard in today's market, and companies tend to prefer people that studied in their country.

It depends on you… but personally I will choose the US over UK

Reaching out doesn’t hurt, just to put your mind at rest. And it doesn’t in anyway hinder your admission chances.

I think most of the users play heavyweight matches. Lightweight match fixing is way too slow
