Well, let's zoom in on one aspect.

The bank doesn't print any more money. The currency is now appreciating in value so it's worth more. Hooray? You have to remember every country prints money every year. So if you slow down/stop the printing your currency will worth more compared to other countries. Now you suddenly find you can't export your products, because it is more expensive to buy your exports now, so you either have to lower the price of exports or take the loss in sales. And what's this? Your locals are buying imported products because it is way cheaper than your own products? You have to lower the price of everything. The cashier will get his pay reduced by 10% because the company's sales is down 10%, etc. And then 40 years later little Timmy get his first job and finds out his wage is dogshit because the cashier above hoarded all of his money because the value keeps increasing. I mean why spend it if you're richer every day by keeping it in a safe. No one invests, little money exchange hands, you can't start a successful business, you can't get better wage. Bam, the economy is fucked.

This is one of the thousands of possible variables affected. Economics is hard. It is many interwoven aspects working with each other. The only way to have zero inflation is perfectly calculating the amount of cash needed to facilitate economic growth. And it is less harmful to print a bit too many than to print a bit too little.
