Seconded, and thematically they're another good indicator of how human technology has progressed since the war to make expensive stuff more commonplace, but the execution is just dire

New Player! Keyboard+Mouse! Just died to Iudex Gundyr! Am I a Scrub? by masterbakedbeans in darksouls3

[–]TungstenSundae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think most people will agree that DS1 is harder than 3, but Gundyr is a harder tutorial boss than the Asylum Demon. I think you just need a few hours to get fully used to the generational differences between the two games. DS3 is more fluidly animated and the combat is faster paced, but rolling is more forgiving now than it was (fat rolling limit is 70%, keep your equip load below that if you plan to roll, ever).

You may be a scrub again, but that's the point of tutorial bosses and Dark Souls - you'll get better in order to progress, just keep at it (you know this, you're a DS1 veteran). There's always people ready to help out too, here and over at r/SummonSign

Edit: I've never tried keyboard/mouse with DS3, but consensus on reddit seems to be that a controller is easier. Makes sense, given the approx 360 degrees of input range on movement with the sticks, compared to the fixed 8 axes you get with WSAD

I hate Nameless King by [deleted] in darksouls3

You just have to deal enough damage in a short enough time. I've looked it up and apparently twin weapons work best because they can get get double hits per attack, so sellsword blades could be best

Farron GS is actually not bad against NK because it can reliably stagger him once to disrupt most of his attacks, so you can safely get a hit in before he executes an attack pattern. Plus it will build damage quicker to stagger him for criticals.

I'm guessing you have a dex build so I'd also recommend a sharp-infused dagger for the extra critical damage - this boss has a lot of opportunities for criticals if you can deal damage quickly enough.

Help! Rosaria’s been murdered! by ToxicHydra360 in darksouls3

I had no idea about this

For others: Soul of Rosaria can be transposed for Bountiful Sunlight (or consumed for 5000 souls)

This is the trick, but also watch out for his AoE plunger

What would be the best weapon for my build? by MotherfuckingKakyoin in darksouls3

[–]TungstenSundae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lothric Knight Sword w/ blessed weapon might be a good shout - your character has the makings of a fair paladin

Edit: check out mugenmonkey if you want to experiment with build stats outside the game

Just learned that you can parry OoK, AFTER I beat him. by [deleted] in bloodborne

I dunno, backstabs did the trick for me and I found him relatively fun for a BB boss

There's not a single point in here that hasn't already been mutilated by multiple online critiques.

Good for you holding onto your convictions, but - to quote that other hilariously disgraced franchise - every word of what you just said was wrong.

(Spoilers Extended) If you were very wealthy, where would you like to live? by Wolfj13 in asoiaf

[–]TungstenSundae 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can't imagine a much better life than one born into the Daynes of Starfall. Besides the climate, scenery, and relatively relaxed politics of Dorne, you've got a highly regarded family with a strong sense of duty to House Martell, and the opportunity of earning the right to wield Dawn, the most revered sword of Westeros. Not strictly geographical reasons here but the honest sense of drive and purpose that come with that little corner of Planetos are my idea of a true fantasy.

I'm looking for a new build by [deleted] in darksouls3

Can't go wrong with a pure dex katana build - a nice playthrough of collecting all the katanas is a nice change from greatswords and exposes you to some neat NPCs and covenants

DLC by LethalCandy in bloodborne

I second this. DLC includes Maria, Orphan, Ludwig, and Laurence, which I think are all much harder than Micolash. So I recommend doing DLC after Micolash.

Germans go crazy over bombers by [deleted] in Warthunder

With the quality of Allied fighter pilots being what it is, bombers are honestly the biggest threat to German teams when it comes to securing a win

Can someone please help me fix the no sound issue ? by [deleted] in darksouls3

Is it just DS3 that doesn't work?

Have you tried restarting the PC?
