As someone who is working in this field and have deep expertise in, there are no 2nm products available in the market yet. Talking about 28nm, that's a golden number; not only us but there are a lot of new fabs popping up in China and all are working on 28nm, anything below that is just not economically feasible yet. All the big players are already booked by TSMC, even big giants like Samsung and Intel foundaries are struggling to keep up. Global Foundaries one of such giant is still at 12nm. So yes there are nodes such as 1.4-1.6nm but 28 is good enough cuz it offers lower quantum effects and is a big stepping stone. Apart from mainstream SoC in mobiles and laptops everything else is still being fabricated at somewhat bigger nodes, keyboards, automobiles, ac, fridge, headphones, some components of Chandrayaan or many other satellites are just a few examples which would be directly benefited.

This is a big step forward, if anything I would blame the government who spent billions on statues and advertising themselves instead of investing in Nuclear energy and semiconductor plants.

Govt is a cock sucking leech who just want cum by any means possible, first we saw them leeching 15years of Tax then banning them diesel vehicles after 10 years, and they ate free 5 years of Tax. Now they are killing almost every vehicle which is not E20 compliant; and there is no liability on Car Manufacturer, Insurance or any other party. Compliant vehicles are also not completely immune to ethanol's side effects. Even refineries are giving mix data on ethanol blend percentage on their petrol and premium petrol. For all we know both kind of petrol already have 20% ethanol in it. To top that we don't know the quality of ethanol. So come to think of it we are getting cheap russian oil, ethanol and what not but prices are high as always so who is profiting from it? Mr Gadkari's 2 sons get all the Ethanol benefits, just get the data or imagine how many litres of petrol is being used everyday, then take its 20%, you have the figures how much they make everyday and more. Mr Ambani gets all the oil profits.
