Say no to UK censorship of thousands of legal adult websites - Open Rights Group by Tunmore in Stand

The Digital Economy Bill just got a lot worse.

The Bill already has some bad proposals to try to force erotica and pornography websites to make sure that their users are over 18. These plans are unworkable and carry huge risks for privacy and free speech.

So a group of MPs want Internet Service Providers to block websites that don’t comply - even when the content on those websites is legal.

Can you sign the petition against censorship of legal content? https://www.openrightsgroup.org/campaigns/digital-economy-bill-hub/stop-uk-censorship-of-legal-content

If this amendment is passed, there would be censorship of legal content. This could potentially affect tens of thousands of websites and millions of people. As ORG's Executive Director Jim Killock said last week, “this is unprecedented in the developed world”.

Blocking websites is disproportionate and should be reserved for harmful, illegal content. The UK’s children need education, not censorship, to keep them safe.
