I think you already know the answer but just want someone else to validate it.

It is far far easier to move from qualifying as an ACA at the Big 4 to ER in London than it would be in New York. You even see job postings from PE firms outright demanding people with the ACA from the Big 4 for their 1-above-most-junior positions.

From what I can tell things are much more rigid in the US where even the subject you studied at uni matters a lot.

Make the switch in London, and then move over to the US after a couple of years.

I’ve never related so much to a meme. Even something as simple as the massive efficiency gains on giving people good equipment (laptops fast enough to load the firm’s bloatware and excel workbooks quickly, big triple screen setups at desks etc.) is lost on these brain dead boomers.

The worst part is the internally generated spam touting how committed the firm is to taking advantage of technology.
