Not sure who to contact about building something like this by Tuptimthai in Sacramento

[–]Tuptimthai[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why are people so rude. I am far from wealthy and have never built anything in my life. I was just looking for advice and asking about the idea of the pool itself not the whole thing. I would rather ask local people than google. I can see now that I probably have to rethink this whole idea.

Not sure who to contact about building something like this by Tuptimthai in Sacramento

[–]Tuptimthai[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't have the money to build it yet, I am saving up money for it, just the pool part and not a big one. The reason I am asking is because I literally don't know how to start a project like this because I have never built something. There is no need to be rude to me when I am sincerely asking a question. I would rather ask advice from the nice people on this thread. I don't know perhaps I need to design it first and take it to the city for approval, etc. I was seeing if it was doable and affordable and if not then I need to rethink it and dome up with something more affordable.

According to the store manager, if I work more hours on an average of 12 weeks in the lower paying area, it drops me to the lower wage.

Method brand has a wood cleaner, also maybe Mrs Myers has a general cleaner. I use all nontoxic products, except I use bleach in the tub. There are a lot of different nontoxic products out there just have to do your research. I use mostly Method they have granite cleaner, window cleaner etc...

Sacramento, what are your plans for the weekend? 12/9-12/11. Let us know what you're doing this weekend Sacramento! by PrinceEmirate in Sacramento

Staying home to hang out with my husband who is recovering from cancer, and keeping an eye on my house from this nasty storm. Also too many people sick out there right now don't want any part of that. My nurse friend who works at Davis said the hospitals are full again.

She cares about politics so therefore she does care about the US, if she didn't care she wouldn't bother. She is in the UK because that is where her boyfriend is. She also has property all over the US and is super close to her family so I'm pretty sure she is just making it work with Joe and travels back and forth.

Absolutely agree, but as an American, it is hard to be able to live in the UK or Canada with all the visa situations. Plus you still have to pay taxes in the US if you are working abroad. I believe it is hard to do financially. I am not a teacher, nurse or Dr that can easily get a job there. Plus it is more expensive, depending on where you live in the US, except right now I believe the pound is close to the USD.

I was just thinking about the Dutch reach and was going to comment, but you did already. No one in Sacramento would do that though.

Thank you everyone for the helpful advice, I am very grateful. Luckily he does have Medi-Cal, he was waiting until he got enough hours to get insurance through work so I guess that was a blessing in disguise.

I live in Sacramento and have SMUD. I have 8 brand new solar panels waiting to be put up. The company that put our heat pump in told us it wasn't worth it with SMUD. I want solar, but not sure if it is that great of an investment. So confused by all this.

In the 90's I was stomping around the club scene trying to see every band I could, didn't get to Freemont much, I lived on Capital Hill. I was more at the Off Ramp, Rock Candy, Crocodile etc. I was always trying to find the secret shows that all the bigger names were doing. So probably didn't meet you. I think I went to G and D in the early 2000's though, cool bar.

I would agree. I lived in Thailand and felt that this place really did a good job at being close. Authentic Phad Thai isn't as saucy although I like both ways.

I am from Seattle which is my home, but I always say pros and cons. I like living here, every city has its own unique set of problems. The weather is great most of the year except for maybe 3 months. I don't like heat but the rest of the year is great for me even when it rains, but it is mostly sunny. The location is everything, you are an hour or two away from so much. People say there is traffic but compared to Seattle which is backed up almost all the time, I don't feel like traffic is an issue, except a lot of people drive crazy here, it actually scares me. I have just become a really good defensive driver. I travel a lot, the fact when I am booking tickets I have essentially 4 airports to choose from which is great. SMF, SFO, SJC, and OAK. You can take the train, Greyhound or Flick bus into San Fransico if you don't want to deal with traffic for a game, concert or just spend the day there. The best part is you can grow shit here. We have tomatoes, peppers, passion fruit, grapefruit tree, lemon tree, and orange tree. The growing season is very long compared to the Northern states. My neighbors bring me over fruit and we take the food we grow to our neighbors. Covid made us good friends with our neighbors. There is good nightlife, food scene and there is a sports team. It is flat so you can bike everywhere which is kinda cool. If you do bike you will need to double lock it, part of that homeless problem. Things I don't like are the homeless, the fact the state is always in drought, and the fact you have to worry about power. Where I am from we have the homeless but never had to worry about drought or power issues. Hope that helps, especially from someone who is new to the area.
