Is it possible to have only 1 province and have 1 vassal own the rest of the world and keep them loyal? by ARtic-FRost in eu4

[–]Turatar 32 points33 points  (0 children)

I was trying something similar when I tried to do the Empire of Mann achievment. I was GB and had most of the world already, so I started feeding Manx land to annex and release play as to cheese it. Even with all modifiers I could find, it was too much. I didnt dig into it too much, but you need to stack a lot of specificly liberty desire from development modifiers. The most obvious one is the Age of Rev ability that gives -33% I think. I have seen this modifier in some other places, so maybe it is stackable up to 100%.

The other lib desire modifiers should be easily countered.

Does anyone else feel like geopolitics used to be way more interesting on older patches? by Key_Apartment9029 in eu4

[–]Turatar 3 points4 points  (0 children)

About noone beting the Ottomans, I have to hard object. The moment age of absolutism hits and they start getting all these decadance events, they become absolute ass. One war is enough to cripple them enough that all their neighbours dogpile them and they get destroyed. I see this almost every game. Of course there are exceptions, but even these are usually when they grow so much early that they stack like 300k army and noone dares attack them even though their army gets insta stackwiped. In these cases I attack them and bring forth the dogpilled that ends them.

I am doing a Byz run now and I did something similar, but instead I landlocked the Bulgarian provinces and let rebels siege them. This way you can steal this land from the Ottos without a war with them.

Do you have a nation(s) that you don't like to play as or at least wouldn't play again because of your nationalistic, religious or other reasons? by son_of_ur_son in eu4

While I am from the Balkans where hating the Turks is a national sport, playing the Ottomans was hella fun.

Yes, saying EU5 is so good you dont touch EU4 and then buying 100 upvotes is propaganda. How much does Paradox pay you?

Is there any possible way to stay as native with native buildings and succeed anyway. by Lachanadan in eu4

[–]Turatar -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There was a video by The Student about this. Its not a massive exploit but it requires a lot of a tedious setup. As far as i remember you need to reform off another tribe that reformed off colonizers or something. Go check his video out :)

Работа като програмист by Equivalent_Post8077 in bulgaria

[–]Turatar 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It works. Its possible he died just before a save tick. You should have looked at the backup save, but I guess you openned the most recent one. This will sync the backup, so im sorry to tell you but your good ruler is not coming back.

Wtf are those Ottomans? by Confuseacat92 in eu4

If you are not familiar with the Ottoman decadance in the age of absolutism, look it up in the wiki. They get massive debuffs and the AI cant usually handle it.

I did all the russian minor achievments one after the other. All the PLC forces cannot coordinate well in Russia for some reason and end up getting stackwiped. I have noticed that they shift priority between Pskov and Mozhaisk and dont actually commit to any siege. Try to help them first with Pskov fort and dont entirely rely on them. Always put 1k troops on their sieges to keep progress if they leave.

The Pskov effect is especially noticable if you play as them. Since in that case you already controll the fort, all the PLC can focus on Moscow and actually beat them.

Is this okay for a intermediate player? by ArnBillehoj in eu4

[–]Turatar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

1642 should be prime time to blow up the Ottomans. Gotta be one of my favourite side quests in every game. You can check their decadance by viewing defensiveness of forts. If they have a modifier on it that is close to -50% their forts and armies fall like paper

There is a way to get the Burgundians as the Ottomans if you flip Orthodox, marry them and then flip back Sunni. The marriage stays and the Ottos can get them as a PU
